This is definitely mundane and pointless, but I must share it. I like this guy (known as The Guy from now on.) and not ten minutes ago, I was talking to him over MSN Messenger. I am not a very close friend to him. I talk to him mostly over MSN and I occassionally say hello to him in the hallway. This is our our conversation went just before he left.
Dare_Devil007_: So, what do you want for Christmas?
The Guy: Nothing…really.
Dare_Devil007_: Really? Okay, if you don’t want anything, then that’s okay…
The Guy: Oh actually, there is one thing.
Dare_Devil007_: Oh?
The Guy: Yeah…a smile.
Dare_Devil007_: Er…from me?
The Guy: Well, you’re the present giver, are you not?
Dare_Devil007_: Er…yah.
The Guy: Okay, so gimme a smile.
Dare_Devil007_: That good enough for you? Or do you need the real thing?
And then he left before he replied. Am I reading way too deeply into this or is this normal for a fifteen-year-old guy to do? My twelve-year-old brother has no idea what to say. My guy friends won’t answer me. I just need to know your random thoughts on this. Thanks.
A smile… that’s sweet! Just wait till your guy wants a subscription to Hustler, a case of imported beer, power tools, a kickass gas grill, a weekend in Vegas with his buddies and full rights to the remote control.
Yup, I just came back from school. I didn’t talk to him, though, because I freak out whenever I try to talk to him in person and these annoying girls who are always flirting and hanging around with him were there. But, while I was passing him in the hallway, we glanced at each other at the same time. I don’t know if that means anything, though.
15 years old huh, just when I started picking up girls. Ok this guy knows what he’s doing, the smile line was pretty damn smooth and I’m gonna use that from now on. If he left because he was embarressed then he’s a loser who you’ll get sick of quick. I say that because he’s 15 and you should only be so lucky that you found a guy like that because they’re incredibly rare at your age. Yes I’m talking about a player.
That or he did it on purpose to leave you wondering and with a good impression of him which he seemed to manage to do. Whether or not he likes you I can’t say with the info you gave us but I can say for a fact that you do. One tip, if he is a bit of a player, play games and don’t act all insecure like “Are you sure you don’t want anything” Instead say “good, because I wasn’t gonna give you anything anyway”. If he’s a tease this will catch him off-guard because your playing his game. Until I get more information that’s all I can tell you for now.
Hehe. I don’t know if he’s a player. It’s his first year at my school, although I know what school he used to go to and I know a lot of people who go there. Maybe I’m just really naive or something, but he seems way too nice to be a player. I don’t really know any players, though…Gah, this is confusing me. Maybe I should just ask him???
Oh, man…What should I say? I am really insecure around guys I like, especially when it comes this. In eighth grade, I liked my best guy friend (we’re still friends, though) and I told him I liked him. But, then he told me that he liked this other girl. And ever since, I have never told a guy that I like him. Or maybe I should just ask The Guy if he likes me without mentioning that I like him. I think I’m afraid that I won’t be able to take him saying, “No.” Any suggestions on what I should say?
