Dude, you do realize this sort of thing is why Hillary is winning, right? I’m still voting for her, but her campaign did stall and hedge about the pneumonia disclosure in ways that raise legit concerns about transparency. A sensible opposition party would focus their message on that point, and hammer it hard. Instead, what we’re getting are proliferating (and mutually contradictory) theories about body doubles, robots, catheter bags, and whether the pneumonia is a cover for MS / a seizure disorder / a stroke / Parkinson’s / end-stage syphilis / all of the above. It makes Trump supporters look, from a normal person’s perspective, like a pack of wacky conspiracy-mongers who are totally disconnected from reality. Pretty much all they had to do to make hay from this was sit tight and NOT start going wild with the conspiracy theories, but apparently they just can’t help themselves.

Exactly what I said in another thread about how Trump and/or his supporters could overplay their hand. Even if Trump has restraints, his vocal supporters don’t.

She may be wearing body armor in some of the pictures. That would explain apparent weight gain and loss. Or possibly medical equipment related to her alleged secret illnesses.

Even if she had a body double for security purposes, which I doubt, there’s no way she’d let a double go out and speak for her.

Though I will add that a body double can also be someone who looks like the person well enough from a distance, or when filmed from the behind. Or when you need a closeup of multiple body parts (besides the face). It’s not always nude scenes.

Everyone is nude under their clothes.

Why does everybody insist on using the term “body double” when they mean simply “lookalike”? Hillary doesn’t have a “body double” unless somebody is taking her place for nude scenes in a movie somewhere.

Indeed. *Body Doubles *are usually used in nude scenes–where the actor’s face is *not *shown. Hence: “Body double.” No speaking is involved.

Film also uses Stunt Doubles for dangerous bits & those requiring serious fighting skills. (Other skills can be “doubled”–like playing an instrument or dancing.)

Stand-ins are the same size & shape as the stars–so they can stand around while lighting & camera angles are adjusted.

Impersonators play up physical resemblances to stars & make appearances. Some of the Elvii are pretty good–and can even perform. (*Dave *is a movie about a part-time presidential Impersonator–called to bigger things.)

Whoever began using Body Double for this particular rumor has deplorable language skills.

In reality its the body double who keeps getting sick. That’s why the secret service was willing to break its cardinal rule about never waiting for transportation in an exposed location.
