SDMB doesn’t produce pop-ups for me, praise to all theh gods.
I fear you have some unwanted nasties on your computer - run AdAware or something similar.

Celyn’s right – the pop-ups are from progs picked up elsewhere. AdAware or Spybot or both are suggested frequently around here.
