We have a local billionaire who lost a lot of respect when he funded real estate ventures by creating a company, sold bonds to finance those real estate ventures, paid himself an extravagant salary for managing the real estate venture for two years, then filed bankruptcy, leaving any individual who bought the bonds stuck holding a peice of paper worth $.02 on the dollar.
Personal bankruptcy has a lot more honor than bilking your investors for a high salary for a company you are running into the ground.

Go back to his post and read what he actually said. He said it could be taken as gay bashing by Rosie and/or GLADD. I don’t think Rosie did say it was gay bashing, she just made a joke out of it by bringing her girlfriend to the show.

Yes, he does. He makes a lot of money off of being a popular celebrity, and has no talent. So should he get portrayed as anti-gay, he would grovel til his solar panels showed.
I thought it was pretty well-known that Donald Trump himself came from a very wealthy background so I don’t see why people like Starving Artist rush to defend him and paint him as the scrappy common man who done well for himself. Why are we so tied to that image?
Considering the number of children from wealthy backgrounds who lie around doing absolutely nothing with their lives I think it’s quite commendable that he, and other people who don’t “have” to work, used the silver spoon to make billions of other silver spoons creating opportunities and employment for others. Sure money opens doors, but fuck, he walked through them, all of them. His children are all quite well-educated when they don’t have to be.
He’s not the poor little kid who climbed to billionaire status but I appreciate that he was a rich kid who didn’t let growing up around money bleed the initiative and drive and bourgeois out of his soul. Good on him.
That said, he cheats on his wives, is an egomaniac and has weird hair. Rosie O’Donnell also bugs the hell out of me. They’re about in the same class as far as personalities go.

Now, to the non-brain damaged Doper that qualification (did you notice it?
