Put them together and what have you got
Bibbidi-bobbidi-bump. . .
Bumpin’ Easter eggs are dyed. Grand-bumps had a big time.
And I’ll be out shovelling bumpin’ snow in a bit.
Im hoping we’ve seen the last bumpin’ snow this season.
I shovelled. The snow was heavy and wet–definitely a spring snow.
Bump.
I watched two bumpin’ robins in the back yard. Couldn’t tell whether they were fighting or mating.
I’ve seen a couple of blue jays in my yard. They are fun to watch, and very welcome, but they also make me miss bumpin’ baseball, and my Toronto Blue Jays.
Saw some downy woodpeckers the other day. There’s a bird that knows how to bump.
Sympathy for everyone dealing with snow.
Bump.
I planted an irregular swath of white crocuses, white daffodils and pink tulips across the front yard. Each year they come up differently. Only a handful of crocuses this year, but all the daffodils are about to bloom. The bumpin’ tulips have stopped coming up entirely.
Thanks, Yllaria.
Bump.
Irises starting to sent up stalks. Bump.
You’re welcome, Spoons.
A bump on a sunshiny day.
Not here, Spoons. Wind and rain here in Boston. Just thought you should know that you don’t have to live in bumpin’ Alberta to complain about the bumpin’ weather, even though it bumpin’ helps.
At least you guys don’t get lake effect snow. And at least I don’t live in bumpin’ Buffalo, where it’s worse.
Hey, I’m originally from Toronto. I used to get bumpin’ lake-effect snow.
Isn’t Toronto on the bumpin’ wrong side of the lake for lake effect snow?
Perhaps oddly, no. The winds tend to come from the northwest, meaning that they come over Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, picking up moisture. They then dump it, in the form of snow, on southern Ontario. Toronto may not get hit as hard as Barrie and Orillia (an area known as “the snowbelt”), but it’s still hit pretty hard.
I recall some severe winter storms from my Toronto days, when snowfall was measured in feet. The worst was in January 1999, when we got about four feet of lake-effect snow over two or three days. The city basically shut down, and the Army was called in to help with snow clearing, as the city did not have enough manpower to cope with so much snow.
Bump.
It’s been a long time since I haven’t bumped this thread, but unfortunately I won’t be able to bump it today, either. Sorry!
You wouldn’t remember the bumpin’ Great Blizzard of 1950. I was 5. We had drifts of snow up to the 2nd floor windows and everything shut down. It hit on Thanksgiving, and none of our holiday guests could make it, so we had a shit load of food to last for weeks. I was never so sick of eating turkey.
