Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Gotta go in early for a conference call.
Up, caffeinating and busy. Today is the big day. The movers should be here between noon and four and I have a few things like going to the ATM for some cash for tips, filling the car up with gas and boxing the teevee to do before then.
Gah. This week has been somewhat crazy, and I’ve missed everything. Please assume I gave the appropriate, heartfelt responses to everything everybody said. I think I’m fighting off a sizeable sinus infection, as has pretty much my whole office, meaning that it’s been a revolving door of who’s sick, who’s here, and what the hell is going on?
Both Roomies are away for the weekend. I wish I could say I was just going to curl up and read or watch TV, but everybody out of the house is prime cleanin’ time. I might have to do that. Or wear blinders so I can only look at the tv and not the rest of the house.
Happy movin’ day red!
Drae sit down on the sofa in front of the teevee, push aside everything you see so it looks clean around where you are and stare at teevee. That way you can say the place looked clean to you.
I have made many, many sammiches and purtified. In about an hour we shall suit up and head on over to the church house. I realized a bit ago that I will actually put on a suit two days in a row this week. Imagine!
The maintenance guys are putting stuff in the storage closet next to my apartment. It’s been 45 minutes of:

Anyone want a free [del]geriatric psycho hellbeast[/del]sweet loving dog?
Happy Moving Day, red.
Drae, I’d say go ahead and clean, but that may just be my OCD talking.
We’s all suited up for funeralizin’. We shall leave shortly to haul sammiches over to the Parish Hall etc and then be mournful. All clouded up outside. Here’s hopin’ the rain holds off still.
doggio you should be grateful you have Gordie to protect you from the big bad thunks!
Really, I can probably ignore almost everything except the giant drifts of dog hair in all the corners. It’s August, which means Winchester is giving me the opportunity to make another dog, should I have decided he is no longer good enough. ![]()
For a minute there I thought you were putting yourself up for adoption.
C D O. There, I fixed it for you; the letters are now in alphabetical order as they should be.
Drae, do a quick Carl Spackler-style cleaning to get the dog hair out of the corner(s).
blurfage beyond compare I am so tahred. I am over it.
I came into irk to sign off on payroll. I’m going to delegate a few things and answer some mail and, by George, I am going home by noon and don’t care who likes it or not.
I have the whole weekend off then the madness starts again as my lead leaves on Sunday for a week in Orlando for training. She just had a bunch of time off while her hubby was home on leave from Africa. i want things to get back to abnormal.****
I guess I could if I had any ![]()
Happy Firday!
It’s dark and gloomy 76 degrees outside, looks like rain.
I’m all blurfy from being up half the night. At least I didn’t oversleep this morning.
I got a raise today.
It came as a happy surprise.
Happy moving day Red

I hope FCD is continuing to feel better.
I’m glad I didn’t pull what I thought were weeds out of the flower patch. They are about 4 feet tall and starting to bloom.
Howdy Y’all! We’s home from funeralizin’ and piggin’ out over to the [del]hog trough[/del] Golden Corral. I’s stuffded. Still no rain but keeps lookin’ like it anytime. I foresee an afternoon of sloth beginnin’ with nappage.
Swammpy Rub it in will you?
blurf. Yes, I just woke up.
BIG HUGS to everyone. Use as needed.
I did 5 hours of work this morning, then ran a couple of errands and came home to check on the critters and have lunch. In a few minutes, I’m heading to the hospital again.
I am exhausted. I think I’ll be sleeping with Mel tonight.
Oh crap… Just got back from the dentist. In about a week and a half, they will be treating me like royalty. Not one, but two crowns for a pair of adjacent molars that decided to crack. Probably just bit something wrong and <snick!>
Nappage has been achieved. I went to Ferd’s for some leg cramp pills cause I’m just about out. The pills are called “Leg Cramp” and taste like quinine. I could possibly achieve the same relief by drinkin’ a gin 'n tonic or two.
Anywho, chillage ensues.
gotti ouch!
swampy, I too was…overenthusiatic…at the Golden Corral and also achieved nappage (amazing how retired people think alike).
Sari great news on the raise, don’t spend it all in one place…
Butters, virtual hugs, this too shall pass-of course, that is meant to be about kidney stones, but hey…:p:cool:
Otherwise it’s 94F and I’m staying indoors.
Blurf.
It is never a good sign when my sisters start blowing up my phone. It usually means something’s gone wrong with Dad. He got tangled up in something and fell. And he’s showing signs of dementia. MRI scheduled this weekend, I’ve been assigned Sunday Sit with Dad duty.
He’s going to have to go into a home now. I don’t think I can handle another bout of dementia in my family.
My sweetie is home - the doc saw him this afternoon and told him he could leave. So about 2 hours after I got there, all his crap was in the car and I brought him home. He’s in bed now, drugged and sleeping, or trying to sleep. Yay for Percocet!
I just ate a bowl of watermelon chunks because I just don’t have it in me to cook. I’m exhausted! What a few days this has been.
{{{Cat}}} So sorry about your dad.
