The party was awesome! Many many thanks, Dave and Ginger! The food was awesome and so was the hospitality! Also many thanks to Anita for putting up with us unruly kids and shuttling us to and from the party. Opal, my photos will be on their way tonight.
Thanks Dave & Ginger, the party was a lot of fun! I’m looking forward to seeing everybody at Anita’s party at the end of the month.
RTFirefly, I’m glad you liked the game. We were playing it back at Dope-a-Ween, as well. (I think Seige brought her deck to that party.) You can get the game from Looney Labs. And if you like Fluxx and Calvinball, please join Agora Nomic, which pretty much is Calvinball!

Anita, thanks for asking about my brother. I started that thread and then basically let it drop, but it meant a lot to me that someone remembered it and asked about him.
I’m sure that there are a lot of Dopers who remember and would like an update. I’m just glad to hear that he’s responding to the treatment as well as he is.
Before this thread drops out of sight, I need to mention what fun it was to be in a room with not just one or two, but a whole bunch of people who could quote Firesign and sing Tom Lehrer in unison.
But I’ll have to record my Rutles album to CD, to share that joy with y’all at a future occasion. 
I made it home ok, after somehow missing the ramp for 95. I think it was because of the bus that tried to run me over. I ended up findng the harbor anyway and making my way out.
My meet went well. Not a whole lot of people showed up. I was done by 9:30 instead of 12 as usual. I did my mile in 22:28, a drop of over 2 mintues in two years.
Where are they?! Pictures, dammit! NOW!!! 
We all had a lovely time, even though Gingy smells weird. Eventually I’ll get my camera out of the car and unload the pictures. I know there’s a particularly good close-up of weirddave’s eye in there somewhere.
As should be obvious, we got home just fine. The kids all slept most of the way to Fredericksburg and were reasonably quiet the rest of the way.
Uh, I can’t think of anything witty to say. Those of you to whom I blathered my tale of Woe and Effexor Withdrawal may or may not be pleased to know that I have meds again and feel much more like a human being. Which isn’t saying much.
You don’t feel like a human being. Liar.
That’s what I want to know, too! I haven’t gotten them yet! :::grrrr:::
I tried to offload my pictures and for some reason my furshlugginger computer, instead of just saying, “Sure, I’ll get going on that right away!” is only offering me the option of…safely unplugging the camera. Tark’s gonna look at it when he gets home for lunch and kick it in the head a few times.
(Note to helpful folks: I have already rebooted, attempted to make the computer recognize the camera as a removable drive, and tried to add/remove the device itself. No soap.)

SO sorry for the delay!! Yesterday was my birthday so I went out after work and didn’t get home until late, so I didn’t have time to get them ready. But I PROMISE I will send them tonight!

I had a wonderful time and enjoyed meeting all you guys for the first time. When i left there my spirits were lifted a little bit higher.(For those who dont know my mom passed away the weekend before and im still and probly always will be missing her greatly.)
