Dopefest in Toronto, anyone?

So, too busy patching people up/making time wid da ladies to come down on Friday?

I took a month off work to study Spanish in Guanajuato Mexico, got back yesterday. I’m working the night shift Friday – don’t think I have enough time to switch things up, but will ask around.

D’oh. I just realized I have something else that night.

Maybe it would have been good to check my calendar a little sooner?

I would have liked to have come to a Dopefest, but it seems I’m already committed to a Chowhound chowdown.

I just heard from the babysitter - my wife and I are on for tomorrow, though one of us may leave early to pick the kids up and put them to bed.

See all of you soon,

Le Ministre

Guys, I’m really sorry, but it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to make it.

:frowning:

I’m really, really disappointed. Maybe next time?

Bother. :frowning:

Well, I’m still planning to be there, though I’ll arrive late.

Looks like I’m stuck in Waterloo tonight because of the snow.

Sorry guys and gals, I won’t be able to make it tonight.

Stupid winter…Have a great time.

Good thing my kids are coming after all – everyone seems to be dropping out!

:frowning:

I’m still coming!

So am I! I’ll probably arrive looking a hell of a lot like a yeti, thanks to this weather, but I’ll arrive nonetheless.

When’s spring coming? 2010 or so?

Well, we survived. And it was good to see people, talk in a deafeningly-loud restaurant, and eat things that I’m still not sure what they are, but I’ll probably have them again.

Thanks to Cerowun for being such a good host/organiser/life of the party. I only wish more people had been able to be there.

Well, the fun people showed up - there’s probably at least one of our party who is being looked after by a slobbery St. Bernard right now.

It was lovely to meet all of you, and I look forward to seeing you again soon.

Le Ministre, slightly the worse for wear and awaiting my first student of the day. (pretend there’s a clever smiley for tired and hungover that goes here.)

It was lovely meeting all of you who ventured forth into the blowing snow. Glad to see everyone made it home safe and (mostly) sound.
