Doper Artists: Display your recent work!

Here’s some of the most recent stuff I’ve done:

Here’s some older stuff on my website  :

Intersection!

Nice renders, though.

Pen and ink stuff I’ve done

(A note to mods: Although this appears to be a commerce site, it is not. This was school project by my daughter. There are no prints for sale and my contact info is fictional.)

You weren’t supposed to notice that!

thanks, I used vray on those.

 I didn’t even think of the commerce site thing! [Mods: please feel free to remove the Etsy link]. Does it count as commercial if I haven’t sold anything yet?

Don’tFight, your work is really really nice. I love the monkey!

This semester’s first assignment

I never put the second assignment on my LJ. It was kinda lame, but…

Part 1 of the Third assignment and Part 2 which I’m currently working on expanding, in my free time. I just fixed the line art for the first image in part 2.

And not recent, but I’m still proud of: A spooky holiday comic

I’ve enjoyed looking through these so much! My goodness, what a talented bunch you are! Astounding!!

That’s some nice character work… You working on any animations?

Okay, GuanoLad… I just read through all your online strips of Pigeonman. You gotta get cracking on some more. Keep the dream alive, Lad! (and it looks like you’re trying to realize it in 3D. How’s that going?)

It’s actually all 2D digital painting using Corel Painter with a Wacom tablet and Photoshop for the illustration/photo compositing as seen in the Coelophysis illustration. I love Painter!

It’s harder than I expected. I think I’d be pretty good at animation, but I’m using software that isn’t too shit hot at responding (Lightwave), and I’m not so sure my rigging is up to scratch. I think I’d be better at it with a year’s training under the tutelage of an experienced animator, and with more robust animation software.

Having said that, I’ll keep at it.

I REALLY liked the Batman in Japan series. Very cool, and I like the details you provided explaining that you put thought into the choices.

My Deviantart page (and the off-site archive for stuff that got pulled).

A 3D modeling/flight sim project that I wrapped up, not too long ago (and if anyone tells me that it wasn’t a form of art to design and build it, I’ll tear their lun…er, have to respectfully disagree with a well-worded rebuttal). This one too, a little, although I only did the paint and some of the cargo bay/cockpit modeling on this one, although I did put together the rough technical guidelines and three-views for the maestro who put it together (You know those weird, but completely straight faced technical questions I ask, now and again? This is the kind of thing that explains why.).

Oh, and I think I mentioned these awhile back, but never got around to talking about…the earrings I gave my cousin for christmas. I carved them, actually.

Out of a meteorite.

And attached them to the hooks with wire…from the space shuttle.
I wrapped the box with mylar-backed Kapton foil, and a hologram ribbon.
