Oddly, I’m even more uncomfortable with offering up any compliments or critiques–I did throw out a lot of compliments towards some of the dopers posting here (including some directed at the same pictures–pbbth still looks great, for example) but somehow it seems way more creepy in an NSFW thread.
I also wanted to counter the calls for balance and sausage-fest comments. The most fascinating thing about these threads is the diversity of people, body types, and photographic/artistic skill on display.
And finally, not one single female who’s posted here has been fat. Several of you have been deliciously curvy, however. (see, there’s that creepy part!

I was inclined to agree, but now it’s seven pages and counting (for anybody who might happen on this page in the future without noticing the page count).
I’m surprised by how many people have contributed, although they do seem to be preponderantly male. It’s rather odd considering that when it comes to men’s versus women’s shorts and other warm weather attire, the latter’s are often MUCH more revealing. But I’ve noticed a similar phenomenon when at nude beaches and similar facilities; it’s usually the men who go completely naked, whereas women often just go topless but keep a bikini bottom on.
I also have to hand it to the staff for greenlighting this thread during this difficult days of the upgrade.

Maybe it’s that phrase NSFW, There’s a REAL good reason for that name, and it’s a little jarring when you realize that in the context of most jobs, this could get you into real trouble if you were caught. But, “NSFW” takes in more than simple nudity–it takes in the whole range of people and their body parts on display with intent to titillate. I don’t see that happening here. In the way you’re describing it, yes. On the other hand, I’m not going to post nude pictures of myself here because this is a wide-open forum. If I were at a Dopefest and there was swimming I’d wear a bikini or skinny dip. A bikini would show more skin than a lot of these pictures have shown.
Post something here where at least one guy has mentioned saving the pics for future use (ew!) or have someone I know in a professional setting see them? Not for me. I’m not judging anyone for choosing to do so, I just wouldn’t.

I wouldn’t ask people at a Dopefest what their salary was, or if they had special needs children, or a thousand other questions I deem wholly acceptable to start threads about.
A Dopefest is a safe space that is comfortable for all. If I have reason to believe another Doper at a fest will feel safe or comfortable viewing my exposed body, or displaying their own, then yes I will ask.

I find your use of the phrase “nasty bits” telling. I don’t find any of the genitalia displayed in this thread to be nasty.
I think I’d be more comfortable in real life–it’s easier to figure out people’s comfort levels bit by bit in a conversation wheras here you have to let it all hang out in the thread title–no meandering about like “So, anyone interested in checking out the hot tub? later Y’now, we don’t USUALLY wear suits…”
