A man’s word should be his bond. Yeah nobody will hold it against him if he doesn’t, but I at least think he should go ahead and do it.
I think there are certain actions which should not be taken due to peer pressure or guilt.
Agent Foxtrot should ask himself 'Forgetting any statements I made, and forgetting anybody else’s opinion- do I want to do this?" Based on that answer alone he should make his decision.
Wow, there is nothing like trying to take a decent nude photo of yourself to remind you that no one will be mistaking you for Scarlett Johannsen anytime soon! 
I now have a couple of okay topless photos of myself (don’t even ask about the full body shots, those all ended awkwardly and were immediately deleted!) The more I think about it though the more I agree with WhyNot about the fat hatred on the board and that makes me not want to post them here. Cleavage is one thing but naked is quite another! There are several dopers that I would have no problem seeing me topless/nude, but there are a handful that are full of nothing but scorn and judgement and I really would rather not give them additional fodder. If you are one of the ones that is on my naked list I’d be glad to email you the pictures I took of myself but I’d rather not deal with the mudslinging about my body from other dopers who would not be as appreciative.
Those of you on the list know who you are by now, I’m sure, so if you feel the need to PM me your email address I’ll gladly send them to you. If you PM me and you are not on the list in my head, however, all you’ll get from me are kitty pictures.

I agree completely. Posting a picture of yourself should be something surrounded by … at least contentment, not, “OK, I promised. I don’t like this, but …”
Despite my love of the male form (though not all male forms), I actually couldn’t personally care much less, since genitalia (male or female) does nothing for me. Faces work a lot better.
And pbbth, though I’m thoroughly married (though not to fizzy, which I clarify because an old friend missed that elsewhere), albeit to a woman in no danger of being forcefed, I’m interested in seeing the pictures. (The wife is fine with this – I just checked to be sure, but I figured (heh) she’d say yes.) Send them or don’t (sadpunk gmail com or PM). Your body, your choice, as should be the case for everyone here, word/bond or not.
And to (haughtily) forestall any such question, I have no plans to post anything of myself unclothed. I have no problem with my body, and neither does anyone else who’s ever been exposed (heh) to it, but really, WTF is the point? Anyone who’d use it for personal gratification can find something more appealing, and anyone looking specifically to get off on a picture of me is better off using their imagination anyway. Besides, I’ve posted half-nudes here before. Search. Be rewarded for something besides having or lacking fatty deposits in socially critical positions.
iampunha, if faces are what do it for you then you might prefer these to anything I would send you in an email. 
Longtime posters may say you remind them of someone named Anniz, at least facially. Offhand, I can think of a few folks who’ve met her.

Think of it this way: To those who like how you look, you’d be doing a favor. So that’s good. To those who don’t like how you look, you’d be doing a disservice. Since you apparently aren’t too keen on those folks, that’s good, too. It’s instant karma.
I mean, if you have other reasons for not wanting to post pics (which can be as simple as “I just don’t feel like it”), that’s fine. But make the decision for yourself, not for other people.
Meanwhile, here are a couple of me (this link is two-click safe, but the links therein are NSFW). I figure that, if I’m going to be ogling the ladies, it’s only fair. It’s surprising how hard it is to match a pose when you have to load them onto the computer before you can get any feedback.
Looking over the photo again and trying to take in its artistic merits, I see the image of someone who skilled in occult powers; power that lay hidden and are not easily seen from the surface. The outside form belies the hidden power within.
The second imitation is by far my preferred. The effort that went into it, combined with the “Oh, David. That’s nice.” (regarding the imitation of the sculpture, not your name misremembered), is very classy.
This makes me sad.
I’d just like to say that I really love the Dope because it’s a more mature message board. Well okay, there are some of us (okay okay me) who are immature sometimes but it’s mature in the ways that count. I would think that this particular NSFW thread on this particular message board would be full of good comments and not be judgmental. And from what I’ve seen, they’ve been good in here but I’m not a big fan of the Pit so I don’t know what’s going on there. In fact, this post should probably go there as I don’t want to derail this thread, but as I said I’m not a big fan of The Pit.
Anyway, the point is I have nothing but respect for anybody, male or female or inbetween, that has the courage to post a quarter-nude, semi-nude, or any-nude picture here on the Dope, mostly because I would never ever have the courage to do such a thing. Everybody’s beautiful (except for you, yeah you, oh wait that’s me 
) and sometimes we just need to show it off.

It was a custom piece so the tattooist gave me a set price - it was £400 (I had it done 10 years ago so it may cost more to have it done now). Usually custom pieces work on the basis of you paying £50ish an hour and it took 12 hours to do so I actually got it a bit cheaper than I might have.
