Athena lives in the da UP, listens to books on tape while doing something so evil as running and very generously sent me the first four Harry Potter books ( hardcover) which I always think of her when I look at these books that are on my “Grab in case of Fire” shelf. ( the books, not Athena.)

Ginger of the North has a son, is married to WeirdDave, and worked at a series of insurance agencies in Alberta prior to defecting to the States. She is a great cook and a good friend, shoots wicked pool, puts up with no nonsense, and can sing. For the record, I haven’t worn a pair of white briefs since 1991, and I was already in the middle of the transition to (plain) boxers. (I - almong with the world* - discovered boxer-briefs around 1993 and haven’t looked back since.)
I think I might have bought a couple of nice gray pairs of briefs around 1995, but I don’t have them anymore.
So nyah.
Although I wouldn’t rule fashion making a big swing to higher-cut briefs for men. Actually, it’s already happening what with low- or no-rise jeans - but I don’t think it’s going to make it all the way to your typical suburban teenaged male.
