@Pardel-Lux . We’ve discussed them before, in regard to rare books. I think we could have a nice discussion over a couple of fine European beers that he would recommend.
@Aspenglow . She’s kept an eye on the watchalong American politics threads, and kept them civil. Plus, as a former court clerk, she’s informed me of a lot of American civil and political procedure. I may be a Canadian lawyer, but there are differences in our rules, and @Aspenglow has helped explain the American ones. Thank you!
I’ve already met a few Dopers on a trip to the US several years ago. I’d really like to meet everyone who posts in the MMP, mainly because I feel like I know them so well already.
To be honest, it would be quicker to list the posters I don’t want to meet!
Well, as you read in the collard greens thread I started, I had a BBQ just last night, and as is my way, I made far too much of everything. If you can make it to the SE Michigan area for dinner tonight, leftovers are even better the next day!
Far too many to list, but I think I would enjoy an argument conversation with @RickJay, @Munch, @Loach, @kenobi_65, as well as anybody else who opines about sports on this board.
I’ve met maybe a dozen Dopers over the years, some of whom no longer post much. I’d enjoy meeting almost anyone who has been here roughly as long as I have (a long time!), for a meal or a beer. Even the guys like @Stranger_On_A_Train or @Handy who ruffle a few feathers, certainly those interested in medicine or fitness like @DSeid or @moriarty, people who live outside North America, those who know Chicago intimately, fellow Canucks who know a riding from une rondelle…
Probably end up in an argument and parting of ways, but a beer with Vinyl Turnip could be…interesting.
I’m sure Cervaise and Gyrate would have a bon mot or two.
