My understanding is that its location, as well as that for Green Acres and the Clampetts’ original home in The Beverly Hillbillies (all three shows shared characters) was never overtly stated, but references to nearby towns unofficially places them in southwestern Missouri.
Missouri, another state I ain’t ever been to.

For Ohio, Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman aired from January 1976 to July 1977, which beats WKRP in Cincinnati. Its spin-off/summer replacement Fernwood 2 Night aired from July 1977 to September 1977, also beats WKRP.
