Earthquake in bay area -- anybody feel it?

A couple of years ago I went to a conference in Palo Alto and spent a few days in San Francisco. As I was leaving the area to return home, I made a comment to a fellow passenger on the airplane (a native Californian) that “it was good I hadn’t experienced an earthquake” while I was there. (Honestly, I was praying that the entire coast wouldn’t drop off into the ocean, at least not while I was there.) He replied that there were earthquakes happening ALL THE TIME, but that we just couldn’t feel them.

I really did have a great time in SF and hope that it doesn’t drop off into the ocean, but not just 'cause I’d like to return one day.

Oop! Just had an aftershock big enough to feel in San Jose. 10:12 a.m. I’m off to the USGS website to see how big that one was.

It was also felt yesterday at the SF Main Library and on the fifth floor at Geary & Masonic.
