Earthquake

If you could call it that. Only a 2.3, but it was just about 2 miles from where I live north of Culver City. It woke me up, but I’d quite forgotten about it until the news mentioned it.

There was another quake out in San Bernardino County, but I didn’t feel that one.

Good morning. You didn’t say what time you felt it, but I’m guessing it’s this earthquake. The San Berdoo event should be on this map.

Ah, ignore my post in the other thread.
I think “we” had a 4-point-something a couple of weeks ago when I was in Antwerp, which was surprising. I sort of sat up, thought 'is this an earthquake? Nah, I’m not in California. . ." and continued my day.

I couldn’t reach your first link. The San Bernadino quake was about 0300. I don’t know what time the quake near Culver City was, as I didn’t bother to check the time. (I dropped off to sleep again almost immediately.) Since I woke up so easily I think the CC quake must have been later, but I don’t know.

Moderator’s Notes:

An easy task now that that thread is no longer extant.

on a tangent:
we had a pretty big one (for up here in northern NY), 5 point something in late april… That was pretty strange.

See, I was going to comment on how hard it is to relate to Left-Coasters having this blasé attitude towards such powerful forces of nature…

…until Mrs. Tygr reminded me that I slept through a hurricane.

…and Tygr Mom reminded me that I, too, had slept through an earthquake.
