Uh, PA is up to 90% and Trump is still ahead by quite a bit. I’m kind of freaking out about it. Ugh, I’m freaking out about everything.
Am I missing something? Nevada would be 270.
Where do you see 90%? The numbers I’ve been using still say 88%. Of course there are different sources and the percent reported is based on estimated turnout…
Only if you include Arizona. Which you almost certainly shouldn’t be right now.
Ok, sure, but haven’t we been saying that higher turnout helps Democrats? It sure doesn’t seem that way this year.
I’m not sure what I’m trying to say and I’m kinda thinking out loud. Do we have to abandon the higher-turnout-more-democrats theory?
NV is 259. Arizona is going more Trumpish very rapidly.
Hmmm… OK. I think I’m just going to have to trust the AP calls for now for my own sanity.
The map as of now. NV isn’t enough.
From Nate Silver:
“Fundamentally, the issue for Trump is that while Georgia projects to be very close and Arizona — at least in my view — projects to be very close, Biden is way ahead of the pace he needs to overtake Trump in Pennsylvania. If it were three toss-ups, that would be one thing, but Biden could wind up winning Pennsylvania fairly comfortably.”
However, this is noted by the Washington Post, as of 8:42pm Eastern:
(emphasis mine)
So, we shall see.
I wish someone would explain the math of PA to me 'cause every source has different info, and going county by county I see zero chance PA could be comfortable.
How is that a however? It’s pretty much consistent with what I said.
Trump’s lead in Georgia is down to about 33K. There’s still a chance, giving Biden some wiggle room in AZ and NV.
I don’t disagree. At this point I am pretty much closing my eyes and praying these people are correct.
America is going through an uncomfortable time. I’m not sure if it’s puberty or menopause or some weird mix of both.
What I was awkwardly trying to note was that the remaining votes which have yet to be counted there may not be as favorable to Trump as the most recent batch. My apologies if I didn’t interpret what you had said correctly.
Not that it is important, but why hasn’t CNN called Alaska? Seems like one those states you could call with hardly any precincts reporting.
Heck, I have NOT counted on Arizona at any time. A half million votes left was too much IMO.
And remember Maricopa is the land of Joe Arpaio. When I heard that was what was missing I said “what are FOX smoking?”
Who was the lead dog? BALloTO?
What’s telling us that Trump went out and tried to claim victory. A person fearful of being prosecuted after leaving office doesn’t do that if he is confident he will win. The Trump team knows where the votes are coming from.
There’s a time difference. In Alaska, it’s still 1972.
