Election Day [Week][Month[s]] [Year] 2020 follow-along thread

I’m on my phone and when I go into the detailed pages on the dashboard it locks up…

But in the time since my first post, Trump’s lead has dropped by 25k votes. I don’t think everything is totally in sync but overall the vote differential seems to be moving the way the analysts are saying the will.

Georgia margin is under 32k.

Remaining vote per GA SoS: 90,735 total votes outstanding.

Here is a breakdown of votes left:

Fulton: 30,862
DeKalb: 6,606
Chatham: 17,157

The rest are scattered.

Those need to break like 61k/29k to close it (or 68%). Seems unlikely, but maybe just barely possible.

And that was as of 10:25 ET, so some of that possibly already came in (and is included in the 32k margin).

Right now Fulton is breaking 72.4% Biden, DeKalb a massive 83.1% B and Chatham a far more moderate 57.7% B. Who has a calculator ?

If Trump still wins, and he might, it is impossible to overstate how absurdly lucky he got, and how ridiculous the Electoral College is.

If he wins Georgia, it will be by less than half a percent.

If he wins North Carolina, it will be by less than a percent.

If he wins Arizona, it will probably be by less than a percent.

If he wins Pennsylvania, it will be by less than a percent.

Well, that gets you 37,733 votes out of the 54,625 in those counties (69%). So you just have to duplicate that in the scattered places too.

More likely, Biden needs even larger margins in those three (assuming they are much bluer than the same-day vote) and then hope that that the stragglers are also bluer than the counties they come from.

Michael Rapaport as eloquent as ever.

Georgia voters have until Friday to ‘cure’ rejected ballots.

I have no idea if it will change anything, but there were ~40k rejected ballots in DeKalb County.

Absurdly lucky that there are so many stupid fuckers in this country

I have no idea how many votes are left in PA. None. CBS News thinks there’s over a million.

The PA Sec of State says about 750,000, and in this thread, well, maybe it’s less. Who knows?

I’m still irritated that Nevada went to bed without finishing their count. With a 7.5k gap.

Agreed. I’m going too deep down the rabbit whole and now I’m freaking out that when I compare red county turnout to 2016 it looks pretty strong for Trump, and maybe Philly is a bit anemic for Biden in comparison… but the suburb counties look OK.

I’m gonna go watch a show or something, this is bad for my health. Good luck everybody!

That just makes little sense.

Hahahahahaha! Thank you. First reference to Darryl Dawkins in this election

I’m not sure that’s luck. Doesn’t the United States tend to cultivate and encourage stupid fuckers?

If trends continue, Biden wins GA by 20-40k votes. Whether that’s out of recount range depends upon the laws of the State of Georgia and the Trump campaign’s budget.

You need to remember that 50% of the population is below average intelligence. Due to the number of people in the US, yeah, we have a whole lot of stupid fuckers. (I’m really trying hard to be logical and calm here.)

Umm… What’s missing with this kind of comment is a quantitative measure of what average intelligence is.

There is a story on the FOX webpage about how it is a disgrace to Democracy that an angry mob is not allowed inside to watch the votes being counted. Wonder how many more of these protests there will be once Biden is declared the winner? Hundreds of people? Thousands? Tens of thousands?

Lock them up?

This is the other thing that makes me despair for the future of this country. Steven Miller is only in his 30s. He’s pure evil, and we haven’t seen the last of the likes of him. Why couldn’t he just get COVID from his wife and die or something?
