Election Day [Week][Month[s]] [Year] 2020 follow-along thread

They are processing a lot of mail-ins. I know because I live and vote in Clark County and have called the elections office multiple times over the last few weeks. I’d be shocked if the Biden lead isn’t growing as more Clark is reported.

Also gives the DOJ time to send some armed agents to ‘oversee’ things.

Apparently, although they will use the day for administrative work, that is not the reason for no counting today. From CNN:

Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, will not count anymore ballots until tomorrow because of a court agreement over some 29,000 disputed ballots, according to County Councilwoman Bethany Hallam.

The agreement stems from a legal challenge over misprinted ballots that had to be reissued to some voters. The county agreed not to count the potential pool of reprinted ballots until Nov. 6 at 5 p.m. ET – the deadline for receiving mail-in votes that were sent by Election Day.

Allegheny County poll workers will not be counting today because the bulk of the remaining pool of ballots in the county are the disputed pile.

What a great first post! Welcome! :wave:t4:

Nevada updates: Elko and Lyon (two red counties) just reported. About a 500 vote reduction in Biden’s lead from those two (down to 11,458 per NYT).

Or approximately 1,400 years from right now.

It’s a debate for another thread but this is by no means certain.

Interesting. There was a big siren from some Trump lackey (Jason Miller maybe?) about a big court win that would “stop the count”. This must be what he was talking about.

Just have to run up the margins enough that these disputed ballots (and the ones that were received late) are not needed.

Posted previously, but here’s continued footage of Nevada’s ballot count:

Why doesn’t anyone use the FRONT of the napkin?

You have got to be kidding.

Is that permit application to repaint the crosswalk by the middle school or to approve Mr. Smith’s new in-ground sprinkler system really more important than counting the votes that may determine the next President?

Do they not realize there is a hard deadline to report results?

I started an extremely popular   thread about what news channel will call it for Biden or Trump first. If FOX calls NV for Biden, that’s it, FOX is saying that Biden is the Next President of the United States! God, how I want to see FOX have to do that.

Do you? If a mechanic says I need a major overhaul I might me dubious. We often get second opinions on a medical diagnosis. I agree with your basic point that we should always listen to what the experts say but it’s not always obvious what we should do with it.

Take for example affordable housing. Pretty much every economist says that rental limits hurt more people than they help but liberal planners largely ignore it.

Well, no… unless you’re the killer!

'Cause there’s smeary food on the front. :slightly_smiling_face:

It’s covered in bbq sauce and wine.

14,200 lead for Trump. Last update 24 minutes ago.

Worst cocktail ever. You need worcestershire sauce for that…

Yeah looks like it’s…November 23.

Contested elections need to be wrapped up by December 8th and the Electoral College (shakes fist) votes on December 14.
