Which is nuts, because no one has ever gotten as many votes as Biden.
Yeah. You can’t just drop a statement like that with no backup. We’re a pretty fragile bunch at this point!
They can do better than that. If Biden wins just wait for house republicans to get religious about the debt all of a sudden.
Of course Trump wasn’t capable of it, but it’s gotta be the biggest unforced error in American political history.
I don’t think she said. It was Chris Jansing on MSNBC.
Unless I misunderstood, which is totally possible since I’m listening while reading, as usual.
Due respect … after any material number of miles in a 70s Chevy Vega … this doesn’t surprise me a bit
No doubt you guys are looking forward to years of repeated Benghazi-like senatorial investigations into voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election.
For Trump the only measure he looked at was the stock market. Absolutely anything he thought might ding that had to be ignored.
I was 26, but that trip aged me in more ways than one.
How many votes did he need, according to them? lol
I’m sorry Thelma! I’m on edge and got excited.
I’m gonna go ahead and guess 101% is roughly the number.
With UAE and Bahrain? Two insignificant nations? That arent a issue at all? Get Palestine or SA or Iran to sign and we have something. I guess you might say that is a start, but that’s it.
Sounds like necromancy!
I think I know, intellectually, the reasons why people say Biden is going to win PA even though he has fewer votes, but it’s just not something that’s really penetrating my mind right now because it’s so counterintuitive. Like it can’t possibly happen until that number shifts.
I’m glad others are saying it, though. Makes me feel better.
So much win:
“The president of the United States is allowed to have whatever conflicts he or she wants, but I don’t want to do that,” Mr. Trump said. But he said that Mr. Kushner, who is an observant Jew, “could be very helpful” in reconciling the longstanding dispute between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
“I would love to be able to be the one that made peace with Israel and the Palestinians,” Mr. Trump said, adding that Mr. Kushner “would be very good at it” and that “he knows the region.”
“A lot of people tell me, really great people tell me, that it’s impossible — you can’t do it,” Mr. Trump added. “I disagree. I think you can make peace.”
“I have reason to believe I can do it,” he added. SOURCE
Bear in mind that the alternative doesn’t look like it would be backing a sensible challenge of something that would be in reasonable doubt.
It would almost certainly be backing an attempt to do something unprecedented to obviously interfere with the election.
Some of them may still be balking at going that far; and others may be balking at being perceived as going that far.
I don’t think Trump and the people running him had quite enough time to pull off getting ‘we do not accept the peaceful transfer of power’ to be seen as normal.
I expect there will be recounts, if they can meet the standards for it, which I see that kenobi_65 has posted (post 2617). Unless some state comes in within a few hundred votes, though, I doubt it’ll change the outcome; and it might not change the outcome even if a state is that close.
How many people are actually in that?
With cites, please.
What break throughs with North Korea? North Korea is going on its merry way doing what it’s been doing for the last half century or so: throwing a fit till it gets some attention, then returning to trying to build nukes in its basement.
(though I don’t suppose most of the people are that merry.)
And I’m not at all sure the USA had anything much to do with the Middle East agreements besides providing the meeting rooms. I think the countries involved were just ready to deal.
I actually suspect that some significant number of those voters will also wind up forgetting, or trying to forget, that they were backing Trump.
Just like way too many people seemed to remember being at Woodstock, rather too few people seemed to remember voting for Nixon.
Admittedly, everybody was watching the same few news channels at the time.
2020!
Haha. Earlier this year, Nate Silver’s word was like God’s law around here. Funny to see it turn. I was never a fan.
I was just thinking that. It’s hard not to see the pattern of red and blue right now.
The final map is very likely to be well within the fat part of his model.
I mean, Ashford endorsed Bacon over Eastman. It’s not quite fair to just assume the district is dominated by Republican never-Trumpers.
