But damn it, I wanted a landslide! Doesn’t matter, in a week no one will care about margin of victory
Best hope for landslide is winning the WH and Senate. That’s a landslide
Word!
Beginning to think I should have taken advantage of legal cannabis while I’m stuck here in Denver today…
Winning PA, WI and MI plus holding Clinton’s wins gives him a win. In fact, he could drop either Nevada or New Hampshire, and lose that one EV in Maine, and would still win in that scenario
Real talk here: is there a realistic set of circumstances in which folks here would feel reassured at all at this point in the evening? Because I’m not sure there is, and people seem to think that their not feeling reassured right at this moment is a bad sign. Is it?
I hope all these people stay engaged in the democratic process, dammit.
Biden will win. Then the democrats have to prove they can govern.
Question is if the economy is in the tank in 2024 or we have a major war, will the democrats be able to hold on?
Well, we got screwed over big - time in 2016. That night was a nightmare as far as I recall. So, in a word, no reassurance here.
Well, more than one word. I’m a bit buzzed.
Yes, if Biden wins MI and WI and AZ, Trump cannot win in any realistic scenario.
People were hoping for good news out of Florida for a crushingly decisive win. Since it is bad news they are panicking. But it is way too early to panic.
Panic if Trump holds in the Rust Belt. Wins in the Sun Belt were always bonus points and extra outs.
Cornyn keeps his seat. And another Fuck!
I’d be reassured with TX or OH, but those aren’t happening. I’d be less nervous with AZ. Barring those, no, I won’t feel reassured until PA, WI, and MI all go Biden. And it will be several days before they finish counting.
Me too. And Ohio, NC, PA…
Biden takes NY.
The Democrats governed just fine during the last administration and turned the economy in freefall they inherited into a booming one while cutting the deficit by over 60%.
The favorable trends toward Biden in OH and NC ease my mind considerably. Add TX and I’m breaking out the celebratory Scotch.
Has Ohio reported all its mail-in ballots, do we know?
Here’s my Prediction thread prediction. You can see that Biden would have a slight lead but not really pull away until late
Has to do with the timing of poll closures and vote count.
Nothing horrible yet.
