The exit polls this year are less reliable than usual, according to what I’ve read, because it’s very hard to exit poll mail in voters.
It’s weird. I had the same impulse. I don’t have a flag pole, so I might not go to the trouble, but I had the impulse to take the flag back. I’m not super proud of my country, with all its problems and flaws, but I’m tired of the flag being a weapon, and I do want to be proud of the US. This is how it starts.
And if there is no list and no country by then, that’s definitely on 45.

But, seriously, there’s nothing new in that statement. Lies about Biden wanting ineligible votes counted, lies about observers not being allowed, and allegations about fraud and irregularities that have already been slapped down by court after court over the past week.
What I make of it? It’s petulant whining.

Trump is the second coming of Christ to the evangelical community. They don’t struggle to justify his history or behavior. Jesus wasn’t nice, Jesus wasn’t a pussy, Jesus threw the money changers out of the temple, Jesus hung around with hookers.
They really believe the stuff we laugh at, like Joe Biden hating God and the Bible.
The evangelical and fundamentalist churches are very politicized, his support in that group is , IIRC, around 78%, much higher than pretty much any other distinct group.
And approximately half of them are women.

Another argument for why this is an historic achievement by the Biden campaign. Biden will have earned a higher popular vote share than any challenger to an incumbent, including Reagan against Carter, since FDR.
Great job, once again, to the Biden campaign. I can’t think of a single significant error the campaign made.
I bet. I’ve been watching Fox, just to be watching what Trump’s watching, and I’m loving it.
Biden Biden Biden. Crowds dancing in the street for Biden. The announcer talking about his historic win and the huge popular vote margin. The empty podium in the corner that says “Biden speaking soon”. One really short segment about the lawsuits, one that discusses them but ultimately implies they’re meritless. A piece about Kamala. A piece about the Democratic House divisions. A retrospective look at Biden’s campaign. Nothing about Trump.
I bet they aren’t taking his calls, either.

I’ve spent the whole week shaking every time my phone got a news alert. I heard the news this morning in the shower, but I’ve just now had time to sit down and take it all in. WOW…I love seeing all the happy people having something to celebrate for once!
It’s also been amazing to see my mother take such an interest in politics. She’s always had a favorite politician here and there, but I’ve always had to beg her to go vote. This year, we both got absentee ballots, and I drove her to the County Board of Elections one morning during early voting. She actually enjoyed the whole experience (no lines!).
I meant grounds that weren’t batshit insane.
Don’t get me wrong, I went out of my way on errands this afternoon to see how many of the Trump signs were left on our road…curious, not a single one. And I rejoiced myself

Including states that have been using mail in voting for decades? But hey, I’m down with discarding all ballots in states he lost. Can’t say the Republicans who did win will go for that, though.
