Election Day [Week][Month[s]] [Year] 2020 follow-along thread

PA — that’s good.

John King is the guy’s name.

Oh wait, no, misspoke about PA!

Trump may win NC. Not a disaster but admittedly, this is not a good sign.

Thanks, The other Waldo Pepper.

Help me out smart people…is it looking like the Dems win the senate?

Also…to me…it appears we WILL know a winner tonight unless it comes down to like one or two super-close battleground states. Like say it comes down to NC.

Is there any room on the bench next to you? I have the same feeling that I had in 2016.

Biden’s mail in margins aren’t good enough

Google map is showing

131 Biden
98 Trump

But most of the swing states are pink. This is not looking good to me. I’m hearing on CBS that the vote is going more to Trump than anticipated. That brings back memories.

Biden just jumped ahead in AZ by 12. But early votes

If Trump wins legitimately, I actually feel like that’s not the worst thing in the world.

The worst thing, IMO, would be Biden winning, then Trump using the courts to reverse that result. If the American electorate truly speaks fairly and decisively, then that’s a reality that needs to be dealt with, and can be dealt with. If he uses the courts, being able to deal with it becomes a lot less likely.

Anyway, it’s definitely easier to be pessimistic, of course. We’ll just have to see, I guess.

2016 was pretttty much decided by now, or almost so…at least to me.

Biden ahead by 10 points so far in AZ.

There wasn’t a pandemic in 2016.

It’s a bit interesting that polls and votes seem to be out of whack. I’m wondering if polls nowadays are just manipulation.

What I find so bizarre is just how stark the urban/rural divide is.

That’s struck me as well.

I feel the same way as 2016 too. Watching the gaps get narrower and narrower until the Republicans take the lead. I’m honestly in shock. Who is watching the last four years, heck the last 8 months, and saying “Yes, please I want more of that!”

Grab your cat and pet him/her bald. If you don’t have a cat, borrow one from a neighbor.

Why is this a surprise, it’s a rift that the GOP has been cultivating now for decades.

PA is (as I understand it) the most slow-mail-in-counting state of them all. So we expect Trump to lead early. It’s the state that everyone’s referring to when saying that we might not know for weeks who has won.

Exactly this. What the hell is wrong with half the country?
