Read the SF author Larry Correia’s FB page and his blog? He is posting nothing but the most insane 'we wuz robbed" election fraud conspiracy theories and his followers are eating it up like cornflakes.
I had to share this picture (as an aside I got to shake Carter’s hand when I was on a flight leaving Atlanta…he was on the plane and came down the aisle shaking hands…late 90s):
Well, the only lawyers left were the stupid ones. And now Trump has burned through them as well. Looks like all he’s got left in Rudy. I hope they enjoy being cell mates.
From some article I saw on the subject, these firms had been representing Trump for a long time (which itself lends to negative opinions about them). They weren’t just now recruited to work on the election bamboozle. Quite the opposite: The fact that these long-time Trump law firms dumped him now says something, I think.
The Achilles Heel of people like Trump. The people around him are not there because they love and support him or believe in anything he is doing. They are all self-serving sycophants and will bail the instant Trump does not serve their interests.
Which is pretty much what lawyers are, and often legitimately so. Just so they get paid. It has been speculated (in one of these Trumpy threads, probably earlier in this one) that they quit when Trump stopped paying them.
It may be what some lawyers are, and maybe what most big firm lawyers are (at least in a sense), but is not what most are.
I think they dropped him because having him as a client was a feather in their caps (to some people) and he provided a steady stream of business either directly or indirectly, but they will only go so far, and he was quickly becoming less feather and more turd. If someone will swear out an affidavit, they’ll file a claim based on it, even if it’s flimsy. But, they won’t directly make stuff up. They also want a client who will, generally, follow their advice. And finally, they want publicity, but not just for filing a bunch of bogus stuff for a loser. If he wasn’t paying them, that would be an obvious reason, but certainly not the only one possible.
And a Federal Judge rules that the Acting Secretary of Homeland Security doesn’t have lawful authority to act, and therefore the purported administrative sustpension of the Dreamers’ program is null and void:
