Election Day [Week][Month[s]] [Year] 2020 follow-along thread

Remember that Virginia is another state that does not count all the mail-in votes until late. They will take ballots that arrive by 11/6.

Got a link? I don’t see anyone calling MN yet.

Luxembourg and Singapore likely can do so. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

It aint federal, it goes by county. some counties are cheap, some are hamstrung by GOP voter suppression.

Any updates seen on the 131 - 108 count?

Every station has different numbers up from what I can see.

Tuberville beat Doug Jones in AL, which isn’t surprising.

I’m looking at county level results.

Remember that many states are called even before many votes are in just based on the assumption that they were already in the bag. No one actually waited to count votes in New York; the instant the polls closed, they called it for Biden.

VA was given the same treatment but I’m wondering.

Not sure what would be better than people reacting as they feel. As for being informed, you might want to ask what you’re hoping to find.

And costing Dems votes in the Pres election.

Biden wins IL; Donald wins MO.

OK, scary thought. Virginia is pretty important as it was a very likely biden state.

If Trump can win PA and/or MI and win the Presidency, it is already pretty much certain he will lose the popular vote, and probably by more than he did in 2016.

I take this back. It was uncalled for. I’ll accept the warning for a personal insult if the mods deem it warnable. Sorry MaxTheVool

It looks like Florida came about 200,000 votes short of becoming an open top-two primary state, despite literally every group opposing that measure. I think John Morgan’s minimum wage amendment will actually pass, which sets the minimum wage at $10 in 2021 and increases it by $1 every year until 2026, after which it is adjusted for inflation.

It looks like all of my local picks won, but at the county and state level, all of my candidates are losers. There’s still hope for the Presidential race, even in Florida, based on the possibility that talking heads underestimated voter turnout.

I went to that page, and it shows Trump leading, but a 95% confidence level for Biden winning the state. I think. But I didn’t see a “call”. I might just not know how to read their per-state pages.

@smapti you are doing important work being the voice of reason. I appreciate it.

This is what PTSD looks like. We didn’t think we would lose last time, but we did. We then lived through 4 years with Trump. We have 250k dead, and more to come. We are stressed and tired and afraid.

Word.

I just meant the probability meter.

CBC, which is what I’m watching, has Trump having won or leading in 278 electoral votes to Biden’s 165.

Biden made a big bid to reclaim union voters. But in Ohio, union voters went for Trump over Biden by 56 percent to 42 percent, according to exit polls

I don’t particularly like the sound of that.

A big big question I don’t think anyone has specifically addressed… are there any states that are close to completely counted where Trump did better than 4 years ago? Or as well?
