House and Senate just passed Defense bill with veto-proof super-majorities. Hopefully SCOTUS ruling coming on top of that will really make Agent Orange’s day…
Yep. The “Stolen Election” will be Trump & Co. revenge for the Russia investigation.
MI (that is Michigan, not Minnesota ) Supreme Court denies appeal of lower court ruling (try to stop counting of absentee ballots)

October 2, 2378, WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. Supreme Court began its term today with the ceremonial Dismissal of the Trump Lawsuit, a ritual which the Justices have observed for hundreds of years. The origin of this tradition is unknown, but Court historians speculate that…
Stardate Unknown, We’ve just finished dealing with the Exeter’s Captain on Omega 4. It’s fitting that this happens on the Anniversary of the Dismissal of the Trump Lawsuit. Hopefully this will be the last time we are reminded of the importance of “Ee’d Plebnista”
Posted on https://www.scotusblog.com/ (about SCOTUS, not by them):
On Monday, the court will release orders from the Dec. 11 conference at 9:30 a.m. There is a possibility of opinions at 10 a.m. Any opinions will be posted on the court’s website at this link.
And it’s almost 6PM (EST), and I’m not seeing any headlines about a decision tonight. So it looks like we’re waiting till Monday on this.
I hope they’re spending the weekend writing scathing opinions about reasons to deny.
Hah!
– I particularly like “the origin of this tradition is unknown”. May his name be forgotten; or at least his identity.
Are the Elector’s votes revealed to the public on Monday? Or are they secret until they are counted in January?
The Supreme Court just dismissed the Texas lawsuit.
The dismissal is here:
Cool. Cool Cool Cool.
Actually, I’m not sure the dismissal is there. Just actions and motions.
And here we go. Link is to a PDF file. Less than a page long.
Analysts at CNN interpret this as “It’s over”:
ETA: Fox News appears to be saying the same.
Trump’s only option now is to declare martial law.
I am afraid that he might try it.
To paraphrase another President, it depends on what the meaning of “it’s” is. There are still some cases pending, and after that he’ll try to get swing state electors thrown out in the joint session of Congress.
True, but it’s long become an escalation of increasingly brazen ridiculousness. The way he’s destroying himself is quite literally like watching a train wreck.
Bruce Springsteen was talking just before the election and pretty much said what I had thought(and is now true). He pretty much said, “He’s going to lose and he is so self-obsessed, he’ll take the whole system/country down with him.”
In 50 years, supporting Trump will be like supporting segregation or McCarthy. We will wonder how it was possible so many did.
I’m glad to be here in this time and realizing that even in our time, we wonder…what is wrong with people?
Unfortunately, there are still a fair number of folks who would be in favor of segregation. And every damn one of them is a Trump supporter.
Oh, 100%
Even if you don’t think Trump is racist(he is), you have to realize he is number one with racists.
Whoop! Glad I was wrong.
Alito and Thomas: “would not grant other relief”. Are they saying they would have granted certiorari, but would then have turned down all the other arguments in the suit?
