Wisconsin is not looking good.
Any more word on the Senate? So far I see a Republican gain in Alabama, and Democratic gains in Colorado and (probably) Arizona for +1 Democratic gain. Are there any other flips outstanding? So far, all of the idiot incumbents are leading. I hate to think that McConnell could continue his crap in the Senate no matter who is the President. I can guarantee that he would not allow Biden (if he wins) to appoint a single Federal judge or Supreme Court Justice for the next four years. He will say that the voters elected a Republican Senate because they wanted conservative judges and we have to follow the people’s wishes.
In what fucking world does a head of state call an election before the true result is likely?
Oh, right, it’s Trumpistan.
Fucken hell.
He can declare himself King of Siam, doesn’t make it so
Hickenlooper and Jones cancel each other out - +0.
Kelly is almost certainly going to win in AZ, he’s running ahead of Biden. That’s +1. Ironically Biden may be benefiting from Kelly’s coattails.
The two Georgia seats are going to runoffs and your guess is as good as mine there - 0 to +2. Cunningham has a vanishingly small chance to pull it out in NC, but probably not - 0 to +1, probably +0.
So the DP is very likely +1, with still an outside shot at up to +4 but I wouldn’t count on it.
Latest prediction. PA will be challenged, Republican lawyers trying to stop counting ballets that aren’t counted today. Absolute bullshit argument, won’t make it past the first court. I was convinced the Texas judge would throw out 127k votes, he didn’t, Trump’s argument in not counting votes after today is even more bullshit
It’s all really close. Cunningham, Bullock and Ossoff have a narrow chance of still pulling this out but it will come down to late mail in ballots. I’m kinda shocked that Collins looks pretty solid, fucking Mainers. Still, winning the presidency is way more likely than the senate at this point.
Bullock has lost, according to what I’m reading.
The AP has called AZ for Biden.
Any projections, guesses, about WI and MI. I’ve stopped following all the details, but I am still sure that if Biden wins them, he wins
Everyone at 538 is saying that we will not get a result from MI until much later today at the earliest, much like PA.
In MI: With 73% reporting, Trump’s up by 8.2%. A good chunk of Wayne County (likely Detroit) has yet to be added to the tally, and it looks like practically nothing out of Ingham County (Lansing) has yet been reported.
In WI: With 92% reporting, Trump’s up by 4.1. I believe much of Milwaukee County has yet to report. ETA: With another percent reporting, it’s tightened by another half point.
The folks at 538 haven’t said anything looks askew in either MI or WI, so…who knows? No results for a while I would assume.
What no one seems to have clarified is the connection, if any, between what precincts have reported, and all the counting of mail-in and early votes. If the “precincts reporting” is just in-person votes, then you could have 100% precincts reporting and still not know who was winning, etc. How that relates to the county-by-county map is beyond me.
Hang on, folks.
Speak for yourself.

Institutions only remain strong as long as men respect them.
Well, I’m off to bed. By my count (and the AP’s), Biden’s up 238-213 with Maine’s statewide EVs just now being called for Biden.
And as I go, I see Georgia has moved up a point to 94% reporting, and with that Biden moves from -2.6 to -2.2.
I have served twice. Juries are full of higher quality people than more people realize. The assholes who don’t want to do it get off, for the sake of the good people who want to serve. If someone pisses off the judge, they get contempt charges, they don’t get assigned to the jury for punishment. People with real issues get dismissed.
They call a big enough group that 12 high-quality citizens with a sense of civic duty can be found. Both times I served, it was along with people who made every effort to get along, be reasonable, compromise, listen to one another, respect one another, and control their tempers. There were fundamental disagreements, and one jury was hung, but it came to that conclusion with great sadness. They other came to the conclusion it came to after 15 hours of deliberation, and after being very sure than none of the last few “flips” did not feel coerced.
NC seems to be going to Trump, too.
I have also served multiple times. You mistook my post - I was not talking about actual juries, but about the “jury” in this election, i.e. the American people.
At least we get to keep Governor Cooper.
