Public service announcement: do not chug gasoline; do not even taste gasoline. It is the worst stuff you will ever taste, it is dangerous to ingest; and if you smoke, you shouldn’t smoke until you have thoroughly rinsed your mouth to get rid of the gasoline fumes.
I got a mouthful of the stuff when a friend and I siphoned his mom’s car’s gas tank in order to fill the lawnmower. We should have carried a jerry can to the gas station three blocks away.
Quite simple: never chug gasoline; never even taste it. It’s dangerous, and it tastes awful.
Have they stopped counting? That is not a good thing.
If the absentee ballots do take Biden over, even if totally above board, it’s going to be a major and unnecessary controversy.
I mean, I don’t know what I’m saying, I’m getting a bit loopy. But GA is the only one of the remaining states where someone who knows what they are talking about says Biden is > 50% to win it. Everything else is just an amorphous blob.
I agree with you here, and as much as I hate to say it, I’m truly in awe of the guy. It sort of reminds me of the Frank Grimes episode of “The Simpsons,” where it’s pointed out that Homer, for all his idiocy, laziness and oafishness, has actually stumbled into quite a bit of success in life - he lives in a nice house, has a Grammy, hangs out with celebrities - while Grimes, who plays by the rules and has worked his ass off everyday of his life, can’t seem to get ahead. Trump is Homer in this scenario times a million.
I know this is super rudimentary, but found it interesting.
Looking at the exit polls, 54% of voters are female and 56% of them voted for Biden…which either means that the state’s ultimately going to Biden when all the votes are counted…or the exit polls are highly, highly flawed. Could be either, but I would think exit polls are better than traditional preliminary over the phone polls.
Well, here is what this great statesman, this new generation of American feeling the responsibility of good governance and being a good civil servant has to say:
CBS says that there are 20 million votes that have not yet been counted nationwide. 5 million in the battleground states. They are continuing to be counted.
NV was an overwhelming blue state in 2018, every single blue election on my ballot won. We also haven’t been the victims of any sort of protest/riots/civil unrest to scare people. And we’ve been hit harder than any other state by coronavirus because of how much we depend on tourism. I can’t think of any plausible reason Trump would win here.
538 had a projection yesterday where even if the polling error is the same, or even better, for Trump in 2020 as it was in 2016, Biden was still the winner. Nate Silver himself said that there was a greater chance for the situation to be intersting than for Trump to win. We still have votes to count, it aint over till it’s over.
It might all come down to that second congressional district in Nebraska! (If, say, Biden loses PA but wins AZ). Hug (safely) an Omahan — they might just have saved the world!
Also…congrats to the election officials team I was privileged to be a part of here in La Crosse, WI. We did our job — two wards — accurately and efficiently. Of the 1800 write-in ballots, about 80% were for Biden. Of the 750 in-person-today ballots, almost 60% were for Trump. I think that comes out to between 70% and 75% for Biden overall.
