Actually, Joe, your understanding of the Christian mission is really shallow. It’s not enough to say, “I’m a Christian” and then behave just as nastily as your adversaries. How does that glorify God?
If you need a model to emulate, look at Polycarp. He’s not a pushover or a wimp, and doesn’t “say everybody is happy and nice.” He tells the truth, looks at both sides of a debate fairly, confesses when he is in the wrong, and does his best to serve God’s will as he sees it. He has compassion for his adversaries as well as his friends and while he may argue forcefully, he never posts anything hurtful or demeaning to others.

Like I said, I’m trying not to do that. My beef with certain religions has to do with their embrace of antigay bias. I’m currently reevaluating my stance on religion in general. In any event, if I have ever said anything to offend you religious beliefs, I apologize.
