Man, what a bummer about Nathan. Did they really have to do that to free up Allison for Jack?

Groundhog Day episodes are so cliche. Didn’t Nathan tell Jack you can’t muck with the time-stream or some such? I thought it was already established that’s exactly what Henry did, or doesn’t anyone know that anymore?

We were really bummed by this episode. Ed Quinn is a really nice guy IRL, and he had better be moving up to a better paying gig or I’m going to hunt down the writers and threaten them with a pointy stick. There was actually a moment there when I thought they were going to off Fargo instead. Oh, well…

I thought Colin played the increasingly hurt Carter very well. The “I’m in pain, but there’s a job that needs to be done” attitude was wonderful.

I’m sure the actor is a nice guy, but I found the character condescending and annoying (that’s the writers’ fault too, of course). At least he got to go out a hero.

By the way, I think I missed something, because I can’t remember what happened to Kevin. I thought he was okay and back to his savant self at the end of last season. Why wasn’t he at his mother’s wedding?

I seem to think that I saw Kevin in at least one of the play-throughs of the wedding, in the crowd. I could have been wrong, though.

Henry still remembers that alternate time stream, doesn’t he (lev: he would be the only one who could, I think, as originally it was just him and Jack and he flashed Jack)? You’d think he’d end up with a little guilt here once he finds out how Nathan went out, given that Henry is presumably as much of an expert at playing with time as anyone at this point.

Give them a chance. Nathan isn’t even cold yet. This will spin out over the rest of the season for sure.

I liked Stark. Ego the size of a building, but he was deliciously snarky, and the interplay between the two alpha males was funny.

Any guesses as to what efficiency-bitch is really after? So far it appears to be something radioactive that was formed during the “early” nuclear tests.

Yeah, I remember seeing Kevin in the crowd at the wedding. Seems to me that he really should’ve been the one to escort his mother down the aisle- having Carter do it was remarkably insensitive.

I was more than a little surprised to see Nathan get offed. The way it was done, though, I wouldn’t be too shocked to see him return in a future episode. Like h. sapiens, I found the character too condescending to be anything more than annoying most of the time… but I really liked last weeks episode when Carter appeared to be holding his own against Nathan’s condescension… and even dishing it out a bit. I would’ve preferred to see more of that dynamic to having to see Nathan get time-disintegrated just so that Carter can make a move on Allison.

Oh, and the damn product placement’s getting really annoying.

Yeah, did Degree like literally buy the show or something? Geez. I’m just glad I can DVR on through the Degree commercials with the show’s characters, because I know those would probably irritate me even more.

Oh, but the gratuitous Degree plug was accompanied by naked Jack Carter. Several times. The Degree stick didn’t distract me a bit.

I demand equal representation/oppression. The next episode had better show Jo in the shower, or Allison caught in the rain, or something!

There are only 8 episodes this season…how many are left?

Technically there will be 21 episodes in Season 3, even though only 8 were written pre-strike. The rest will air as soon as possible, but will likely continue any story arcs they have set up.

I miss Callie the dry-cleaner. She was nice.

3.1 - Bad to the Drone
3.2 - What About Bob?
3.3 - Best in Faux
3.4 - I Do Over
3.5 - Show Me The Mummy (Air Date 8/26)

So 4 more for the summer run. And officially 13 more for season 3. Just don’t know when those 13 will be shown.

gives the details about the split season.

Me too. What happened to her, any one remember? I thought she and Carter were a better fit, anyway.

I hope Nathan is not really dead. Remember the guy who died in the pilot? He came back, plus he cloned his wife, so I think anything is possible…

Who else besides me doesn’t think Nathan is really dead? Considering what they were attempting (photon acceleration) and that Nathan didn’t become a smoking corpse, isn’t it possible that Nathan traveled forward in time and will reappear in the future? Sort of like Quantum Leap, but in the reverse direction. The season is only 1/5 of the way in and there are still plenty of episodes for this to play out over. And from Stark’s demeanor (“I’ll see you around, Jack.”), it seems to me that he considered the possibility that he would be accelerated in time and might come out of it alive at some future point. He was just too calm and collected and I don’t think it was because of his ego.

I believe I read that the 13 episodes will be shown next summer.
