Ever been to Pisgah? A place names MMP

AM or PM? :dubious:

:Grabs the trout from **Doggio **and smacks Bobbio: There is only one hour “10” a day. The other one is called 22! :stuck_out_tongue:

But, it was briefly [20]10-10-10 10:10:10 about - oh, 12 hours ago (here. YTZMV)

ETA: Kicks GT. But gently.

I am sick : sniffle :

I blame the kidlet that sneezed on me last week in the airport.

So lazy day here as mr ems is not at his happy shiny best either.

: achoo :

laters…

Aw, sorry about the sniffles, **ems. **

It’s pretty much been a lazy day here today too. I’m not going anywhere, I’m just going to putter around here and take life easy.

Third time’s the charm… or more like 3 strikes and you’re out.

**FCD **wanted to go to Olive Garden for a late lunch/early supper. I figured, cool, I can get my lasagna fix.

Wrong.

I swear, it was as flavorless as a cheap generic frozen lasagna, plus several of the noodles were dried out and shrunken. That’s the third time in a row we’ve gone to OG and I’ve had a flavorless meal. Never again. I know it’s not a great restaurant anyway, but man, this has been worse than blah. I got one of those “fill out our survey” receipts. I believe I shall.

So, 2/3 of the weekend is about gone. Tomorrow, I’m going to wash the windows and maybe do a little more outside. After school, we’re taking fish over to daughter’s classroom. Oh, and I have to do laundry. Rah.

It tasted like cheap frozen lasagna, because that’s what OG serves. Their food comes from a truck.

I think I’m getting sick.
No no no no.

Wait - you mean those OG chefs they show going to chef school in Italy are all bogus?!?!?

That’s why I like our good Eyetalian place. They make their own stuff. Now I want me some good Eyetalian. Why must my life be so hard!

MOOOOOOM did the server have buzzed hair and a blonde/red goatee and at some point call y’all dude? If so, he used to be a waiter at Shoney’s in Columbus, Jawja. What you described sounds just like him!

Sketties for lunch was gooooood! I was proud.

I’ve had a nappy poo followed by the makin’ of deviled aigs for tomorrow just cause I want some. Ima do a roast in the slow cooker tomorrow with salsa. So nummy!

retain nothing

Last night was the Great Carpet Cleaning. Today was the Great Room Switching–Culinary Boy and I took the master bedroom and Computer Boy took the front bedroom. Now we actually have room in our bedroom! Then I cleaned the bathroom and The Boys washed Katy and Kitty.

I’s tahred.

JDD Bro has C Diff.

He was in the hospital durin’ the week but most likely he got it because his immune system with all the chemo and radiation well, it ain’t. Poor guy. This on top of rectal cancer.

Anywho, prayers, good thoughts etc appreciated.

Oh, that’s a shame. C. diff is no fun. My dad had it a few years back after a prolonged hospital stay with pneumonia.

Sorry to hear that, swampy. Prayers and good thoughts headed his way.

Am tired, so I think I’ll read for a while, then it’s off to sleepy bye. I’m going in to work in the morning due to having too many things to do before Thursday. Am hoping to be able to be gone by noon so that I can have at least part of my holiday (I’ll be catching up on the rest of my holiday next week).

Hugs all.

GT

I worked, walked the dogs, now it’s dinner and hockey.

Prayers sent, swampy.

: sprays sanitizer on mmmmmm and Soapy :

I had something very much like C. Diff after my hip surgery because they kept me on antibiotics for 6 weeks. It took a month for my system to get back to normal

I also wanted to join in the OG/family-run-Italian-restaurant discussion. For parts of the country that don’t have access to a good home grown place, the OG is not too terrible. (I’ve had worse pasta, trust me). But I make the same comparison between Red Lobster and a real coastal seafood place. To folks who have never had fresh-off-the-boat, RL is fine. To those of us who know better, there’s nothing like the real thing, in ANY cuisine.

Prayers and healing thoughts headed out toward JDD Bro, Swampy. Get well thoughts to Emmmm and anyone else who is sick.

The beef roast chili turned out great, folks! Took a really LONG time to cook, though; I think I’ll have the roast cut into smaller pieces next time (thanks for that idea, Swampy!). It really was a different taste with the different meat, especially since I’ve been using ground turkey in my chili for the past few years! We had cornbread to accompany the chili and boy it was just all around good! This was a new crock pot as well, and that worked just fine, so I may be making a curry in the crock pot later this week. YUM!

Happy Monday all - although I’ll look for the new MMP in the morning.

Prayers for JDDBro, and congratumalacations to kai on a house without wheels, a white picket fence and a front-loader. Remember to leave the front-loader cracked open after use and all that jazz.

It’s Monday, tomorrow is a national holiday, I’m the only person in my team who’s in. The whole team-under-ours (who sit behind me) are off. Right now I can see a total of counts 10 heads in a space in which we would normally have 60. Since I still don’t have the accesses I need in order to be able to do any work, I’m seriously considering moving into a Meeting Room and spending the day plotting with Mohandas against Alexander.

Sorry - it’s the bestI could do…

I regularly go to French Lick, IN.
