The big surprise for me is that Normal is only a Night investigator, not Night and Day as I am. This obviously brings down the chances of us getting a match quite considerably, as she has far fewer code-numbers than I thought she would by this point.

I think you should investigate a kill. Whether he’s Town or not, Hal probably isn’t lying about who the Scum killed. So I would probably suggest you investigate a non-Scum kill and see if it matches any of the numbers we have. I won’t investigate Maha, but other than that I won’t discuss who I’m going to look at.

That makes sense. When NAF first had the book, he reported that Story told him that the book gets buried with the book holder in the event of his death. But, “these things have a way of turning up”. Of course, if Rysto was the only game mechanic for turning it up, it may stay buried with it’s owner.

Not that I think Mcginty is town. I just think we’d benefit from Lil’s death. She’s either vanilla now and her lynch would confirm Total as town. Or she’s scum and came up with a fanciful role to protect her.

I’m honestly leaning more towards the former than the latter, but confirmed town would be a real asset.

Ooooh, this post totally rubs me the wrong way. Unvoting someone you think is Scum or Third Party, voting someone you think is Town, in an attempt to “confirm” someone who still won’t be confirmed by said Townie’s death.

I’m going to attempt a WOW on brewha, now that something I had at 1:30 today isn’t actually happening, especially since I had completely forgotten that he was even in this game, and at this point lurking is a very good strategy for both Scum and third parties.

The mason thing had to come out to verify numbers, but I think it may have been a bit premature. I’m going to suggest that you investigate someone other than me - simply because I can guarantee that it will not give you any useful info.

Of course you’re not going to believe me, even though I’ve played a very nonscummy game. I’ve only voted for scum (afaik) and I have not been in on any town lynches. I even voted for Telcontar day one. But, yeah that could have been a scum bussing, right?

The “cannot possibly be recruited” thing in a Mason’s PM could just be belt-and-suspenders confirmation that you are, in fact, trustworthy to your mason buddy right through to the end of the game.

As I recall, I had similar wording in my publicly-confirmed-Townie PM in story’s Marvel Civil War game, and I don’t believe that game had any targeted recruitment, just a couple roles that could pick their side.

Maybe I missed this but where did you see something about Masons not being recruited at the time you posted this?

If we’re talking mass claim, I should point out one thing from my PM. It says that I am NOT “vulnerable to any kind of change in alignment under any circumstances.”

Which rather implies that some are.

I’m not sure that it matters – I’ve been going back and forth on whether to bring this up at all for most of the game (not knowing the mechanism by which such alignment changes might occur – it might be unnecessary WIFOM), and given those uncertainties, the impact on any otherwise confirmed players we might have is unclear. NAF died a townie – that is possibly a good sign that if there is traditional recruitment in the game, it had already happened before he became “all-but-confirmed” (which would mean greater odds of catching such a player on behavior than if it happened late). But there’s no way to be sure.

I might be making this too complicated. Going to sleep on a couple of things. I hope people aren’t tempted to rely on power roles to solve the game, though.

BACKGROUND:

Yours is a thankless job. You are a reality show employee, responsible for collecting hours of footage and carefully editing it together to tell a coherent story, while ensuring that the Producer’s planned characterizations of the contestants remain consistent throughout (regardless of any actions they might take that go against that planned characterization). Following an ugly dispute with Phil Keoghan, you were unceremoniously fired from your previous position, and now you find yourself here, trying to reclaim some of your lost dignity by editing footage for a reality show about demons. That should end well.

As a result of your position, you have some latitude in controlling the flow of the final story that will be told here. Some of the other participants may, from time to time, engage in activities that don’t fit with the narrative you’re trying to push. You have been given the authority to stop them from ruining the show in this way - within certain limits, of course.

I’ve decided to claim for a few reasons. First of all, I have no idea what to do with a town -based role block ability. I don’t have enough of a read on anyone to predict that they’ll do any killing at night and blindly guessing could have as much a anti town and pro town outcome. So, any help with this power would be great.

Second, this takes some heat off the other more useful power roles - like our recently self outed masons. And, hopefully it’ll allow them to target someone with potentially useful results.

Third, I’m claiming early so if anyone has an idea of a way I can prove my role tonight, we can add one more confirmed town to our side.

Of course, this all is under the assumption that I don’t get lynched today - something that I have no power over.

I’m getting a strong feeling that Peeker is scum, but nothing I can make a case on. I considered doing a stab in the dark block on him, but since I dont’ know how many kills are possible in the night, I wouldn’t know if my block did anything. And, any action of mine could presumably be seen by the wrong people.

While I hate to waste an opportunity to wield my power, I’ll lay low and do nothing tonight.

I hope you’re keeping these PMs for the peanut gallery. I knew Peeker was scum! OK, not knew - but had a hunch. I shoulda dropped the role block on him last night. Maybe woulda saved a townie.

So, I’m getting the same hunch against OAOW. Just a twinge, though.

I’ve realized that I am guaranteed to get no extra info by doing nothing at night. Even a random guess could potential give me some info. Maybe I risk being outed, but it’s a risk worth taking if there’s info to be had.

Your PM to story about **peeker **looks very scummy indeed. You seem to want to show us that you thought he was scum but that you didn’t actually do anything about it. What was the point of telling story that you thought he was scum but couldn’t make a case?

I’m very tempted to vote for you but I’d like to hear what **OAOW **has to say first.
