I asked Brewha point blank very late in the day what his opinion of OAOW was. The answer was just about as wishy-washy as possible:

Yes, I’m also suspicious of OAOW, but I had to do a cost benefit analysis. Worst case scenario if I’m wrong and OAOW get’s lynched, we lose a town investigator. Worst case scenario if I’m wrong and we lynch you is that we lose a vanilla townie.

I was only leaning town on OAOW because he confirmed that I blocked him. But, now that I think about it. If he had denied I had blocked him and I were lynched because of it, that would definitely implicate him. So, it’s a null tell. The only thing that he’s done that I could see as scummy is the delay on the Tom Scud book acquisition reveal.

And today, he’s repeating that same wishy-washy opinion…

A point in brewha’s favor is that it seems likely that town has a role-blocker. Other than that, he looks like scum with an entire boat load of evidence against him.

Mrs. McG presented the case on OAOW pretty well, and that earns her town points in my book.

lilflower says Total Lost is non-deadite. Is there any other confirmation on either?
Hal only has reported what scum would already know, and was alleged blocked by brewha. It is convenient that his answers are scum/non-scum, and not scum/3rd party/town – that means that scum could not go wrong.
USCDiver, the book cameraman, has a role that is now useless. It is odd that we have 2 investigative roles focused on the book. Total Lost claims she could search for it and USCDiver claims he can watch it.
Mahaloth could have just made a guess about number of 3rd parties.
Nanook and I are vanillas, and I was also alleged blocked by brewha.

I never said, “here’s what you should do if you’re innocent”. What I said was (from memory so it may not be word for word) “If I were sure that someone was scum and I had a shotgun, I’d shoot them in the face”. I went on to say that I was pretty sure that you and Wanderers were on opposite teams. Had you taken action, and he were town, we could lynch you and nab scum either way.

Had you done that, it would have gotten rid of scum and pretty well confirmed you as town. Why don’t people just listen to me?

Yes, my answer was “wishy washy”. I said I didn’t know whether or not OAOW was scum because guess what? I didn’t know whether or not OAOW was scum!

There’s only one way to know for sure if a person is scum, ya know?

Look, the only plausible way that I am not who I say I am is if scum decided not to kill last night. So, I can’t say that I should be confirmed town. But, seriously - I can’t imagine a scum team being this far behind at this point in the game and just deciding not to kill.

So, here’s my thing. When Wanderers flipped scum I was happy. I was basking in this happy little halo of just enjoying how well the town was doing. The last thing on my mind (with the next lynch being a week out) was to use OAOW’s death as a way to start drumming up suspicion on another person.

Also, Texcat, could you sum up this “entire boatload” of evidence against me?

This whole page is weird. First, Total Lost brings up a case against McGinty in response to a post that was pretty much relying on a case McGinty made against OAOW, and then lilflower apparently goes against her own investigation for reasons I can’t fathom by saying that she’d be willing to vote for Total Lost.

Also - yes - I played in Evil Dead I and I really can’t see Story making this set-up as the first. We’ve seen different players and the SK-duel from ED I hasn’t been part of this game.

I know we can’t rule out that a human could be scum. Still I find it strange that lilflower seems happy with a lynch on me without bringing up the issue that she was mod-informed that I’m not a demon.
