Evil Dead Mafia II - Teaser and Sign-Ups [Game On!]

Nope, just reminding them that it was possible. I wouldn’t tell a anyone how to play their role.

Uh, why not? I’m not fully trusting NAF(or anyone), but I can’t see why there could not be a game mechanic that would allow the book to be taken. Are you privy to any information about the book that the rest of us don’t have?

Can you share those various scenarios? Right now I can only think of two:

  • Someone has a power to steal and used it to take the book from NAF
  • NAF’s action caused him to lose the book

As I already said, my main reason for finding him so suspicious was that he still had the book and was making noises like he was going to keep it (post 1137).
Now he’s saying he doesn’t have it…so there goes the majority of my suspicion. Really, him still having it or not is a coin flip. It’s just not something one can tell. He could be lying, he could be not. But it’s a far cry from all out and out admitting you still have it and have no intention of giving it up…which is a hell of a lot more suspicious in my mind.

So no, I don’t have anything else on him other than that…but it sounds/seems awfully like you’re role fishing and trying to subtly ask if I have or got inside information on him. Trying to see if I’m some kind of Detective, maybe? Coupled with the fact I was already suspicious of you, I’m going to
Vote Guiri

I’d like to just call out whomever has the book. Admit it ASAP.

Let’s go on record as to whether or not we have it. I see no reason for it to be secret.

I do not have the book.

My first was that the ‘shroud of darkness’ caused NAF to become untrackable, and thus enabled someone to steal the Book without being seen. That seems too much of a coincidence, and therefore suspicious. Of course, NAF says that’s not how the Book works.

So I thought that maybe the darkness only affected him, so that he was unable to see who stole the Book, but maybe someone else who might have been watching could have seen. But he says that’s not how the Book works, either.

He says the shroud of darkness is a sort of Roleblock power. He says he targeted himself, but his blocking of himself was not related to the fact that someone stole the Book from him. So the theft was just a coincidence…and I really, really hate coincidences.

Given that everything we know about the Book’s powers comes from NAF himself, it’s hard to judge the usefulness of anything he is telling us about it. If he’s telling the truth, then we can trust him. But if he’s lying, then everything we know could be wrong. And therein lies the problem. We have absolutely no way of knowing whether he’s telling the truth or not. Which is why we need to spend some time looking at things other than ‘NAF and the Book’.

I’m rather interested in the exchange that was going on between peeker and Mrs McGinty before Dusk. I share peeker’s feelings about McGinty; I think his defense of Romanic was more fervent than warranted on Day 1. But that discussion seems to have died with Nightfall…

I do not have the book. Not really intested in the book actually. Then again, I had no desire to press any of the shiny distraction buttons in the gastard game either. I guess that’s just the way I am.

Idle, beyond the fishing(Am I the only one who thinks it’s funny/ironic that that is coming up now? No?), what was it that caused you to be suspicious of Guiri? A quick recap for those of us who can’t recall.

Sorry I’m a little behind–fall weekends are generally pretty bad for me, and this was a three-day one.

I’m going to assume that Chipacabra died in one of the following two ways:

  1. Protecting someone else, possibly Oy!, or
  2. Vigging

I disagree with his play yesterDay and recognize that it is potentially Scum-motivated. More importantly, I am wholly concerned about the book. His claim that it was stolen is of concern to me. There is no way of testing this that I can see, there was nothing in story’s color indicating that it could be stolen (although I will admit that a very generous reading can be taken as ambiguous at worst) and until his alignment is known (and of course it conveniently would have come up as Scum last Night), we can’t trust anything he says. And everything he says is exactly something that Scum would say to cover his tracks. If he’s a dead Town, at least we can trust how the book works, but all signs point to Scum in my mind.

Now, I attempt an experiment. I apologize in advance, story. If it works, I may unvote.

of course it did.

mcginty made the case against himself. got pissed because i called him on the bullshit. got fucking naf to vote my ass for making sense.

and now naf is pulling this nonsense with the book.

just a bunch of obfuscation from my viewpoint.

and you people are adorable (to steal from uthrecht). if i go all nuts then i am scum for “polluting” the game and now naf wants to make me scum for not “polluting” the game. fucking wonderful.

neta:

and i fucking snipped burb’s quote.

sorry.

fuck it. it is clear to me.

As I said shortly after this Day started: I don’t have the book.

Can we get a current vote count?

And just for completeness sake, I don’t have the book, nor do I have any desire to have it at this point.

I do not have the book.

Oh, yeah. I don’t have the book, although I just sent story PMs to try to take it from each and every last one of you (including a dead guy by accident). I doubt it’ll work, but hey.

I already asked about that. Didn’t you see his answer?

All I saw him say was “Now that it’s been taken, the rules are different.” I’m just testing to see what those rules are.

Sometimes it’s hard to read on my phone. I use the Tapatalk app, and it doesn’t support colored text.

Yeah, but story’s answer only said that “the rules are different”. So it was worth a shot…

ed, this is the second time you seem to have read something into one of storyteller’s posts that he didn’t actually say. Do you know something we don’t know?

I got nothing. No, not even the Book.

(Had a few minutes, thought I’d pop in and see what’s going on, but it’s hopeless – I’ll be back when I have time.)

Are you KIDDING me? I’m in the process of doing the exact. same. thing.

Great minds? Hahaha.

Although don’t get me wrong, I’m still suspicious of you. :stuck_out_tongue:
