They just reported the car found in Cambridge.
Pretty bad when your uncle says “He deserved his. He absolutely deserved his,” Tsarni said. “They do not deserve to live on this earth.”
I thought that too, but can you fake the date things were added to an Amazon wishlist?
I was going by their uncle, who pronounced it as “Jokar.” Not a big deal, of course.
I doubt it. It just looks like a different transliteration of his name. I’ve seen it spelled Dzhokhar, Djokhar, and Djohar in news reports.
Surely you’re not suggesting their uncle might know better than a venerable & trusted news organization like CNN?
The uncle is now backpedaling
Watching NBC, something may be happening. A reporter on scene reports seeing someone down with officers surrounding before the reporter was ordered back.
True reality TV
Taxi service has resumed in Boston…lockdown is still in effect for the other towns.
Father is telling AP “Dzokhar is an angel”
I guess Lucifer was an angel . . .

I posted this in the other thread. Something’s going on.
Reporter was told “If you knew what was going on you wouldn’t be standing here.”
I got it from the Skolnik tweets, not sure what his source for it was.
MSNBC says police are looking for a third suspect also.
This whole thing makes me sad. From everything I’ve heard, Younger Brother was a nice, sweet kid, totally normal and American. Older Brother was a failed student, and then a failed boxer. His uncle called him a loser.
So, it looks like Older Brother had a good dose of crazy, along with anger and resentment, and bullied/brainwashed Younger Brother.
Uncle being interviewed now. he’s suggesting envy towards thier relatives that have settled successfully may be have been a factor. Calling them losers and saying he would have turned them in had he any idea. says he tried to seperate his family from them.
Wow, he’s going off.
On ABC, Dzhokhar’s next-door neighbor said he recognized him from the pictures, but declined to contact the authorities out of concern for sending the police after a Muslim kid.
Not sure about the timing, though. This may have been after the MIT killing, when reporting the likeness wouldn’t have made a difference.
So, I am sitting at home right now on “lockdown” due to this manhunt. My work is currently closed, we are canceling an event we had scheduled for tonight. My wife’s work is also closed. (We both work in downtown Boston). This is quite surreal.
Side note: up until 2 years ago, we lived in Belmont on the Watertown line. I know the area extremely well. So strange…
Here is a good livestream taken from a Reddit news thread and someone is updating it with information gleaned from police scanners. They have a 3rd suspect on the ground right now with an EOD robot removing his jacket. Also a jumper on a nearby bridge right now and EOD has been requested there as well.
ETA: The 3rd suspect that’s on the ground is an older man, graying hair.
I wish you all safety.
It seems to me that at a time like this, sensible people would WANT to cooperate with such an order/request. "Is it enforceable by law?" I don’t understand why anyone would ask such a question. Just be a grownup, put your ego on hold, sit tight, and try not to get in the way. Your rights are not being infringed.
Also, I know reporters want to be on the scene with the first/best info, but come on! Do we really need minute-by-minute wall-to-wall coverage? I think reporters are seriously getting in the way of police, etc., doing their jobs effectively. The problem is, as someone said, that this is REAL reality TV, and the public is addicted to it.
