Fall into a MMP

Cheesy eggs and grits and bacon and raisin toast are fuds of the gods. Sis did not mention prison, but she did say every fast food place in the world is near their hotel. They had Taco Bell last night.

Supper was ribs with the leftover veggies from yesterday. Someone from FCD’s office was supposed to come by around 2 - it’s 5 and he still hasn’t showed, so I’m guessing he forgot.

It’s been a good, lazy day. Apart from emptying the dishwasher and wiping down the outside of the kitchen cabinets, I ain’t done nothing much besides crochet and watch Netflix!

STM party was fun. I took a nap, and now I have a load of clothes in the dryer. It’s a lazy, rainy kind of day here, too.

I know a few that will want to go there.

They did that to the ones in Raleigh.

I shall have some ice cream shortly and then haul the biiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can down to the road for pickup tomorrow. Columbus Day is not a day they take off. I’ll need the ice cream to build up my strength.

WetOne your sis must be at a hotel right at I65. Haven’t been down that way in years so I’m sure it has built up over time.

Yep, they are right off 65 at the Leonard Hampton Inn. I tried to talk her into getting the cherry limeade at Sonic.

The ice cream gave me the strength I needed to haul the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can all the way down to the road. Mission accomplished.

I cooked. First or second time since I have been home. We had shake n bake chicken thighs, mac and cheese and baked beans. Will get us by until the next one. I even went to the store to get dishwasher detergent and came home with $55 worth of stuff but no dishwasher detergent. Dang it.

Our neighbors that were living here part time left a roomba here. I just got to have me one of those.

As a toy for Louie?

They are a hoot as one.

{{{sunny and pooka}}}

Yay on the job opportunity nuts!

 wet one! I’m glad your Sis and BIL are ok, but take care of yourself.

flytrap, the Kroger stores around here have been doing that floor for the past several years whenever they remodel or build new.

butters, we will need pics of Louie riding the roomba should you get one.

I went north to help celebrate Dad’s 80th birthday. BabySis, LilBro, SIL and I took him out to a nice restaurant for dinner, then had carrot cake and ice cream at home. BabySis, our former neighbor who baby sat us when she was a teen and I conspired to have him card bombed. He’s received almost 100 cards and counting now. He’s not much of a party guy, but he’s really enjoying hearing from folks. Yesterday, the abovementioned neighbor came to visit, as well as a good friend of the family with another carrot cake (It’s well known that that’s Dad’s favorite). Nelson got to meet everybody, including his grandmother. I think she was glad to see us go so she could go back to having just her and Dad around the house. :stuck_out_tongue:

It began to sprinkle just north of Indianapolis and rained on and off the rest of teh trip home. Indiana’s !@#$ing split speed limit on I65 sucks on a nice, sunny weekend day, but doubly so when it’s raining in sheets. Truck drivers with a light load or empty get behind someone with a heavy load doing 63MPH will pull into the left lane (where the cars with a 70MPH limit are) to pass and dang near stop traffic. Grrrr!

I took tomorrow off too to get all of the crap done that I usually do on teh weekends.

It’s Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada (and yes, I’ve heard all the jokes before about how Canadians do things weird and have different holidays. :stuck_out_tongue: )

I’m working on writing some new music.

Red Happy Birthday to dad!

Midget Happy Thanksgiving! I think it’s great that both countries celebrate Thanksgiving. I try to remember to take the time to actually be thankful, and it’s always nice to see family (at least I always try to remember that it all of the rushing around). What type of music are you writing?

WetOne I hope you’re feeling better, and glad your sis and family are ok.

Spidey you have the most interesting life. Are you balloon festivalling?

Swampy glad the wedding went well. I’m having trouble envisioning a coffee bar, but maybe it’s the time of day? Same idea as a breakfast bar, but later?

We went on our first overnight with the RV. It was a bit of an adventure at times, but fun. We went to the coast, right next to the Rogue Brewery and Restaurant in Newport, and just down from the Oregon Coast Aquarium. We had fun, visited things, took walks with dogs, and the kids acted more like kids, and less electronic. We even managed to hitch, un-hitch, back, park, and all the assorted goodness. Next weekend we’ll do it again.
