Ok, coming down the home stretch. I’m 8 - 3 with a playoff spot locked up. Due to some trades and waiver magic I find myself with the following conundrum: I need 2 RB, 2 WR and a flex (RB/WR only) from the following: Ray Rice, Frank Gore, Steven Jackson, Marshawn Lynch, Hakeem Nicks, Steve Smith (Carolina), Marques Colston and Victor Cruz. My QB is Eli. Typically, Lynch and Cruz have been riding pine, with either Nicks or Colston joining them depending on the match-up. Lynch has been doing well but I still don’t see him starting. I have not taken advantage of Cruz yet and I think I’m ready to swap him in for Nicks.
Who would you start this week?
I think there’s a very good chance Cruz does better than Nicks. Over the past 4 games, Cruz is averaging about 100 yards and has 2 touchdowns. Nicks is averaging 60 and only has 1 td. I don’t know enough about Colston’s current production to say whether he’s better than Cruz.
My question is Kevin Smith, LaGarrette Blount, or C.J. Spiller. No ppr, the 2nd place guy could go in over Joe Flacco, but right now I don’t think that’s worth it. Playoff wise, I have 3 weeks to either gain 2 games on 1 guy, gain 3 games on any of 3 guys, or gain 1 less game on anybody and make up a 60-80 point deficit, so I’m leaning towards high upside guys.
I’d take the chance on Spiller. He has the most upside IMO. Blount finally broke out last week but has been bad. The Lions will likely be throwing a lot to keep up with GB.
Colston has been producing a bit lately, returning from injury earlier in the season. The problem with starting any Saint player is they spread the ball around so much, nobody but Brees and Graham have been putting up consistent numbers…
Well, I stated Leinart over Tebow in my big money league this week. Not sure how I feel about this decision, Tebow has helped carry me out of the cellar as a winless 0-7 team to a marginally more respectable 3-8. The prize money is out of reach but I have to stay out of last place. I’m banking on Leinart having a big game with Andre Johnson back, even though I believe Tebow is good for 15 points I think Leinart has a realistic shot at 25 points.
Here’s hoping. I started Leinart over Ryan Fitzpatrick in the Dynasty League and it’s not looking like a good decision so far…

Anytime an injury is first reported as one thing and then something else it’s bad news. Leinart had a concussion first and then a shoulder injury instead. I’m guessing a stinger that will keep him out for a week or two.
Is anyone else having trouble with yahoo stat tracker? It gives me a generic score list without my team and asks me to sign up as if I weren’t signed in. But when I try to sign in, it just goes back to the sign in page.
I’m just opening the matchup pages for my team and refreshing. I have an NFL.com team too and flash always crashes if I have the NFL gamecenters and stattracker open at the same time.
Stingers almost never cost someone a week. Chances are Leinart had a concussion and the Texans are gaming the system by reporting it as a shoulder stinger so he can get back out there next week without the mandatory evaluation period.
New reports have it as a broken collarbone and he may be done for the season. I somehow feel responsible for this, sorry Houston.
