yeah I know I’m in a league with a bunch of you and we haven’t drafted yet, but this shouldn’t affect anything and it’s for a money league.
So what do you all think about Edge and Jimmy Smith for Priest Holmes? Smith is my #4 WR and I still have a quality backup in Kevin Johnson available. I’m thinking take the risk and go for it, but I wanted some other opinions anyway…

I wouldn’t do it even knowing Smith is out four games. Kecin Johnson is going to replace Smith? Good luck. You’re trading one returning injured back for another. Plus I think Edge will be back in his pre-injury form this year.
No, didn’t do the deal yet. I know that Smith is a better WR than KJ, but it’s still my #4 WR. He wouldn’t really be replacing him except on bye weeks when Moulds, Holt, and Koren Rob aren’t playing. The opinions I have gotten are mixed. I drafted Edge in round 2 because I too felt he would do much better, but not sure about playing at the level before ACL injury. I just have the feeling that if I pass on this trade, Holmes will post another 22+ TD season.
If smith is your #4… this is a no brainer…
