Worked, came home, am watching hockey. I didn’t put enough habeneros in my spicy stir-fry. Gordie ate something. Boy’s about as sharp as a sack full of wet mice.

Happy Birthday BooFae!!!
Shortdrum, I have a shelf full of stuffed toys in the living room(Ren and Stimpy, Dilbert, the Simpsons).
Many hugs to Kopek; I’m keeping your family in my prayers. So sorry to hear about your MIL, she sounds like she was a great person.
I am very probably late here, so it should be belated, but still:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOOFAE!!!
Today I got my eyeballs all measured for the upcoming cataract surgery! The cataract has gotten so dense, they had to do an ultrasound of the eye. After that, we went grocery shopping (it was senior discount day today - I got $19 off the cost of my groceries!). I cooked up a whole bag of pinto beans yesterday and now I’m going to use them to make chili with. We may get snow here in the next day or so - I’m almost thinking I’m back in MD, but it’s very windy here too, so I know it’s not Maryland. LOL
I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the week, because it’s -almost- FIRDAY.
Good morning, you good-looking Mumpers, you! Today promises to be an open-the-windows day, and I’m thinking I’ll get outside and rake out the flower bed right in front of the house so my hostas can start poking thru. All next week looks like it’ll be nice also - let the yard work planning begin!
That’s all I’ve got.
**tarra **- good luck with your eyebones! Hope it all goes smoothly! I think of all medical procedures, work on the eyes oogies me out the most. I don’t know why. I don’t even like the glaucoma test, and it’s nothing! Maybe I was attacked by a giant eyeball when I was a child…
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 54 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 79 for the day. If it weren’t for all the dang pollen it’d be a wunnerful day to be outside. As it is, my haid feels like it’s about to asplode. ICK!
Not much else goin on here at da cave. I shall seek more caffiene and some brekkie for rumbly tummy. Then, alas, I must commence irk purtification. Oh well, today is my Firday so there’s that.
Thanks, guys! I had a very nice day yesterday and got some great presents. My friends have obviously taken note of the fact that I have been growing veggies in tubs outside, they bought me a variety of things to grow and canvas containers to grow them in. I will be having fun with that lot later!
It has turned very spring-like today, definitely no good for Swampy and his allergies, but pleasant enough that Nut might be able to get out for a while and cure the cabin fever. Herbs, I hope the eye surgery goes well and you’ll soon be seeing the world like the rest of us do…
'im indoors apparently had a dodgy lamb samosa last night and is very glad to be staying at home today. He’s offered to cook tonight so I’ll take him up on that one, I need to do my ironing and phone my doting parent. Such excitement in my life, no?
Why is it on a day that I am feeling the most ick that I have the most to do? I’m in the middle of making sandwiches and I had to sit down and take break for a few minutes.
My mom’s surgery went well, although she is quite sore. Hoping she feels better soon.
I swear, next time this comes up, I’m insisting on getting Cipro. I don’t care that Microbid works ‘better’. It doesn’t make me so incredibly nauseous. I’m living on carbs and milk because they’re about the only things that don’t make it worse. And ginger pills.
Ah well. Jello shots party this weekend. I’m being a table.
I got a haircut today, among doing other errands, and I encountered way too much stupid in a small, confined space. The owner of the salon set up a broom balanced on its bristles in the middle of the floor. The stylist explained to me how it’s a mysterious event that only occurs during the equinox.
First off, no. Secondly, the equinox is 2 weeks away. Unfortunately, I was so stunned by the stupid that I failed to mention this little factoid. And on top of that, when I looked at my reflection in the car window an hour or so later, I saw several very long hairs blowing in the breeze that the stylist apparently decided not to cut. Save me from the stupid!!!
But it is nice out. The house is wide open, getting fresh air. I was going to rake, but it’s so windy, it would be mostly futile. So I’ll rake on a less breezy day. Instead, I’ll call the tree guy about removing 4 trees front the front yard. One is dying, and the other 3 are in the way. No rush, but I bet it’ll be easier for him if the trees haven’t leafed out yet.
Yuck. Spent part of the night throwing up from what felt like food poisoning (which feels a lot different from morning sickness, it’s interesting to note. Okay, it was interesting to me at midnight), and I feel crappy today.
I’m researching baby carriers that work for two babies at the same time, and wondering if I should start a thread. I’m going to have to carry them, since my live-in helper time ends next Tuesday, and we’ll have to venture out, all five of us. Should be interesting.
It’s nice here, too. Okay, it’s rainy and dark, but it’s quite warm, and since we had a blizzard a few days ago that makes ‘warm and rainy’ nice weather. Yesterday it was hot enough to go out in sandals.
