Well, all the laundry is finally done and I bathed for quite a long time this afternoon, so both clothes and rat are clean. Did a little shopping for odds and ends and began putting more stuff away, but it all seems so minor with ruble as sick as he is. But he’d want us to keep it going until he came back, so…
Red, if that ever happened, I’d be sure to lock it down (the system has a button that will lock out signals when I’m on vacation or away for any length of time). But you’re right, I need to keep progressing into the 21st century.
FCM, what are the youth retreating from? They might be harmless (yeah, right).
Sad about Ruble Anything I can do please don’t hesitate.
My unpatient is up and down. He is very weak but he went downstairs to his office for a bit today. I only irked a half day so when I got home I took him to the bank and we both went into CVS for the new meds. Of course they were not ready. We came home and I cooked up some cubed steak with onion gravy, rice, field peas, carrots and biscuits. Hubs is on a no salt diet and I have already found that salt is in damn near everything. I shall have to hunt down some salt free meal plans.
Thanks for the good thoughts and let’s direct them toward Ruble and the Old Wench.
{{{margin}}} so sorry about your kitty. If it’s any consolation, sounds like she had the best forever home ever.
Sunny mailed his laundry home? If I had tried that I am sure my mom would have mailed it right back unwashed and added some dirty laundry of her own to boot.
Holy shit, what happened that made this the week of bad hearts?
I’m also in a cardiac crisis.
My heart was feeling a bit off-beat last week, so I emailed my electrophysiologist, who I’ve been seeing for a few years to keep a lid on something called long QT. I was feeling really out of sorts on Monday, so they set me up with a two-week cardiac event recorder. I’ve got a pocket-sized EKG thing called Kardia that works with my phone. My EKG looks like a kid scribbled a heartbeat, so I wonder what the recorder ia picking up. Yesterday, I was feeling worse with random thudding noises in my ears and my chest visibly fluttering, so I go in for a “real” EKG. Next thing I know, I’ve got atrial fibrillation, and they’re going to try rebooting my heart next Tuesday. My mother has A Fib, so pretty sure I’ve inherited this.
I’ve been thinking about rubles and OW today but did manage to get in a call to my sister whose husband has dementia, fold clothes from yesterday’s laundry (Thank heavens for Downy wrinkle remover) and get to the gym.
I went back to page 3 to catch up on the MMP, and whose post is the first one? Rubles.
gotpasswords, damn, that’s tough. Sending healing thoughts your way.
MoonUnit, please share your happy news. If there’s ever a time we need it, it’s now.
Butters, I’m still sending kindly thoughts your way. I have plenty, so I can send some to rubes and OW and you.
Moooom. that reminds me of when my daughter, 16, and I went on a long-anticipated trip and stayed at a hotel that was, as it turned out, housing girls participating at the state cheerleaders competition. Ugh. I hope those youths retreat to their beds.
A cold 28 feels like 23 degrees outside, and SNOW on the ground.
I opened the door to let the dogs out and was greeted by a very pissed off cat. Guess he wanted in and my son didn’t hear him at the door.
I don’t have to go out, so I won’t, but I miss the park.
Not much planned for the day today.
Hoping Ruble is doing better.
You too Butters and Hubby, and Gotti.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 34 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 61 and mostly cloudy for the day. I was a slug abed until seven a.m.! At some point this mornin’ I shall betake myself to the church house for candle duty. Also, I am meetin’ with my church leadership development team at N.O.L. time to work on our project. Other than that, who knows what the day will hold.
{{{gotti}}} here’s hopin’ that procedure will clear up the heart issue.
Also, I am with MOOOOOOM. Enough of all this already!
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas, bother, alack, I suppose I must purtify and don appropriate bein’ about the public attire. Le Sigh.
Nothing much here to report, I went out for a bit of a walk, ending at a garden centre to buy coffee, cake and a houseplant, which is about as exciting as things get nowadays. Now I’m sitting in and procrastinating, as I really should be getting on with skool irk; I’ll be pretty much stuck in tomorrow anyway, as we have a storm due, so I can work on it then too. I’m away for a few days next week (I have a week break from class and work), so I want to be properly caught up with everything first.
Moooooom, too bad about the kids. SIL, a friend and I had reservations at a hotel once without knowing that a church youth group was also staying there. Between the noise and the pool/gym crawling with them, we went to the management and had them transfer us to another Holiday Inn in the area.
Up, caffeinating, breakfasting, a load of towels in the wash and the puppy crate cleaned.
Today is a fairly lazy day. Other than laundry and cooking, there’s not a whole lot shaking.
Morning all. The sun’s finally come back out, supposed to get near 50F today. Need to head out to Staples for some office supplies and wall-hanging hooks. Have finished a big bowl o’Cheerio’s and will continue to put stuff away as the day goes on.
What doggio says…and like Moooomm says, enough of this; everybody get well and stay that way.
