Finally! Reason in DC!

…just not in the government. :smack:

If you live in the DC area, or need a spring break destination - GO! It’s Free!

The Reason Rally is an event sponsored by many of the country’s largest and most influential secular organizations. It will be free to attend and will take place in Washington, D.C. on March 24th, 2012 from 10:00AM – 4:00PM at the National Mall. There will be music, comedy, speakers, and so much more.

Speakers will include Richard Dawkins, The Amazing Randi, Adam Savage from Mythbusters, and music from Tim Minchin.

I’ll be there! (Well, actually, I’m always more-or-less there - I live ten minutes walk from the Mall. But I’ll be on the Mall that day!)

Moved Cafe Society --> MPSIMS.

Thanks for pointing this out! I may have to open up the spare bedroom to some lucky Couch Surfer or Doper.

Wish I could make it… my friend is running it and I wish I could be there to support him. Have fun being reasonable!

That’s the entertainment lineup? Pass.

Yessssss

Can’t wait!

Itll be very interesting to see how the media and religious spectra deal with it. Hopefully it will be recorded and available on the website.

    I, for one, am glad I went… it was fun, uplifting and inspirational - and very encouraging that despite the cold and rain drew a crowd of (some say) 30K people.
    ETA: Paul Provenza (as emcee) encouraged the crowd to “YouTube the shit out of [the event]”, and already there are tons of videos. You can pre-order the DVD from The Reason Rally Store
