Folks should check the links already provided. Damuri is a self-admitted anti-Israel bigot who automatically fits any new facts into his anti-Israel narrative and not only takes no responsibility, but blames outside forces are controlling his thoughts.
As cited, facts have no effect on his narrative. When he’s shown go be wrong about something, he just modifies his argument to somehow rationalize the new information and no matter how his previous claims are falsified, his argument never actually changes. Sometimes, as with his ignorance about the UN and Israel, not only can his argument remain unchanged despite debunked, but given enough time he’ll actually repeat earlier errors that have been cleared up for him.
When it’s pointed out to him, by people on both sides of the debate, that he doesn’t even possess the requisite background knowledge to hold forth on the topic from anything but a position of ignorance? Then he angrily demands that people accept his bad faith debating and willful ignorance, and pretends that he’s open to being persuaded (and, why, if he’s not and he automatically fits all new information into an anti-Israel narrative, then it’s not his fault and he can’t be held responsible).
Yeah, seriously, just put Finn Again on ignore and enjoy your life. He is the subject of more pittings than almost anyone else on Straight Dope. If there is a groundswell of people calling you an anti-semite then you might want to take a look in the mirror but if its just Finn Again, then it just means that you wouldn’t fit in very well at the Likud party convention.
Once you understand where he’s coming from, its hard to take anything he says very personally.

This sounds like a derivation of the Discussing P-I on SDMB Rule, the one I call “Invocation of pseudo-complexity” where, apparently, the proof of an inferior intelligence for a debater is his or her simplification of the issue. Because, as we all know from numerous examples, if you simplify P-I issue you will find something wrong with Israeli side. Your conclusion is then deemed simplistic because you are of a lesser intelligence (or, is it the other way around). Once labelled as one of lesser intelligence (or, just too simplistic), all your conclusions are then automatically designated as wrong.
For example, saying that Israel illegally building all over the place including Jerusalem is creating and perpetuating the problem is simplistic. Since the issue is complex you need higher level of intelligence in which you conclude that the opposite is true, that in fact, Palestinians opposing violently to those generous efforts of progress is what the problem is and the world should condemn them and don’t you know Hamas is saying it is illegal too, so you don’t want to side with Hamas.
And by the way, you should educate yourself. I heard there`s a PhD degree program for educating yourself on P-I issue. Online! Limited number of entrants! Discount available for those with seriously damaged brain.

I don’t see why you are arguing with/about him if you have him on Ignore. If you are reacting to what he says, that would seem to defeat the purpose of Ignoring him.

You’ll notice that he just so happened to snip and ignore the part where I pointed out that he was lying and his own cite showed only one accusation that he was pretending was a series of accusations.
Likewise, you can notice that, originally he used his lie about a series of “accusations”, made improperly, to accuse me of trolling. The when I pointed out that not only was j not trolling but his claim was false, he revealed that it had been bait to provoke a negative reaction and play the victim. Just like he started a Pit thread calling me a shitty person, and pretended that he was quite take aback that I might respond impolitely. (a Pit thread, it should be noted, in which he only quoted my responses to him lying about me and using ATMB to call me a troll, and not his post which precipitated a response).
Even his claim now is that since I made one single accusation about one single poster, in the Pit, and the claim was factually accurate… That he was somehow justified to accuse me of trolling, in ATMB, and I owe him an apology.

Most of us have enough knowledge of the situation in Israel to form an opinion. If Finn Again thinks that my opinion is formed on incomplete facts then he needs to fight ignorance and present those facts but that’s not what he does. The fact that he knows the date of the the start of the 1947 war doesn’t make his opinion any more valid than mine. The fact that I can’t recite the UN resolution that partitioned Israel doesn’t mean I have no clue about what the partition is.
