Is there a way to make followed links open in a new tab, rather than in a new window? I mean beyond the right click menu select. I would like all new links to open in a tab.
Try right-clicking on the link and select Open Link in New Tab.
I’m not aware of a way to open pages in new tabs by default, but you can do it by clicking your mouse wheel, which is almost as good.
Sorry for being ambigous. This is what I meant by:
Try Tools>Options>Advanced>Tabbed Browsing. Select Open Links from Other Applications in (*)A new tab in the most recent window.
I hope this helps you!
That is exactly the trick I was looking for. Thanks!
Gah, I’m not sure this is what you’re after either. Still opens it in a new window… dang.
Thanks though to csharpmajor, I didn’t know that trick. Thanks!
You can close tabs quickly by wheel-clicking on them too Happy browsing.
Absolutely, since that’s how I have it set up. I don’t remember exactly how I did that, but I believe I used the Tabbrowser Preferences extension. This one looks like it could also do it.
Can’t you also hold down the Ctrl key while clicking on lthe link? That’s what I do.
