From rosie’s link, thisis so wrong!!
I’m a caffeine addict too.
(not sure whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing, so I put a frowny and a happy smiley.)
I had a Dr Pepper for breakfast for the caffeine. I’m a loser.
Still haven’t heard back from the friend that I messaged. I hope I will.
Possible adventures to be had downtown today - more on that later, maybe.
I have to pull myself out of this funk and get my butt over to the ukulele.
Oh tomorrow is Father’s Day isn’t it.
I supposed I should tell Sah-son to call his grandfather and I guess I should say something nice to my mother’s bf. Probably should send a text to OAOASO who is pretty much off.
I probably should.
I wish somebody (maybe I should do it) would create a line of greeting cards that let you say what you really feel.
To my Grandfather on Father’s Day.
Let’s stop pretending either one of us really gives a shit.
When I had a mastiff I use to send him out to greet them. They thought he was adorable.
Once I sent him out to get rid of the possum on the back porch.
I went out to feed the guinea pig. The possum stands there and starts hissing at me. I called my dog to the door. He comes and gives me that adoring look and says ‘you rang?’.
I opened the door and pointed at the possum and said** LOOK**
He looked out and said YEAH THAT’S A POSSUM
I said GO GET HIM
He said** AWIGHT**
So he lumbered on out, because that is what mastiffs do, up to the possum and stuck his nose in the possums back and took a giant SNIFF
Then the moved his head down and he and the possum stood there staring at each other.
So I finally told him** IF THAT IS ALL YOU ARE GOING TO DO YOU MAY AS WELL COME BACK IN**
He said AWIGHT and came back in muttering something about me disturbing his nap and what did I expect him to do about some possum on the porch.
Same attitude I got when I wanted him to play fetch. I threw the ball and told him to GO GET IT!
He said YOU THREW THE BALL, YOU GO GET IT
I loved that dog.
Oh gross
I wish I’d had those when I was a sprout.
Thanks, Cute One, for pointing out my Deprived Childhood.
I had two swallows of a “Ten Something Calories” Dr. Pepper belonging to Step Daughter (v.3.0) after I cut the grass.
Upon closer examination, I determined that it contained aspartame.
This is why I did not want children.
How many strings does a ukulele have? Looks like two on youtube.

Once I went to a seminar and it turned out to be some MLM thingie but the one thing I took away from it was
Managers will spend 90% of their time helping the low producers in their company to make more money instead of helping the top 10% make more money. That is backwards, they should cut the low producers loose and put their efforts into helping the top producers make more.
I think people do that in relationships as well. We spend a lot of time trying to win over the people who don’t give anything back instead of giving our time and attention to the people who really do matter. We take the people who do love us for granted. Sometimes you just have to cut people loose and put your time and energy into people who do appreciate you.

Stepdaughter (v.3.0)'s otherwise moronic dog has a good philosophy about this sort of thing.
4 strings. Kind of like a violin, but the strings aren’t tuned like a violin’s strings.
Nu? Go buy some! What’s the point of being grown up if you can’t act childish now and then?
I am in trouble, there is a Shipley’s Doughnuts less than 3 minutes walking from my new casa. Having a kolache, apple fritter and coffee for brekkie. Nom Nom
Back when I am really awake.
Jim
Ruggalach?
Too bad you can’t have the hives in the back yard–might make short work of the idiot workers. Strange how the door was bolted after they went thru…
I slept and I slept and I slept til I hurt.
Caffeinating, then off to vist mom. This is Cherry Festival Saturday, and I’m getting her out to go people watching no matter what! We are all broke right now, in fact I probably will have to borrow money somehow for gas during the week to get me through to payday Friday, but I dun care. It’s nice out, I love driving, I’m going for a drive and my moms getting some sun whether she likes it or not! ( she will like it
)
My dad, whose birthday seems to fall on Fathers Day every other year, insists he is going to Houdini tomorrow to avoid any fanfare. I am like that, too, just didn’t realize where I got it from, lol. Still no money, but I told him he could do whatever he wants, obviously, but that I am going to stay home playing house slave all day, and if he doesn’t have any instructions for me, I am just going to GUESS what he wants done. That oughta scare him. :D. And also make shrimp fettuccine dinner, which he likes. Hope he goes fishing, though, don’t think he’s done that in a while.
Just finished strawberry picking with my family and another at an orchard. We will be making strawberry pie this weekend as well.
But then again, I also have to study for exams.
Reasonably productive so far. Church building is clean, potluck plunder is procured* along with other grocery needs, holds at the library have been picked up**, and I’ve even scheduled an eye exam for Wednesday so I can get a much-needed updated pair of glasses.
*Settled on a veggie tray from the grocery store produce section, since I have a feeling a lot of people will bring chips, cookies, and such, and I’d like to have something there my pet diabetic can safely eat. His blood sugar’s running too high lately as it is. Probably from stress.
**Forgot to take a couple of returns, but they’re not due for a few days yet, so NBD, I still have time to drop them, and I’ll be going past one library branch tomorrow to go to church, probably near other branches over the course of activities for the next few days.
Back from helping out a friend who’s having medical issues and hadn’t been able to finish getting plants in the ground. It was hot out, so I stopped after 2 hours. Will finish planting Monday night.
Nephew was going to go with me, but was extremely asleep. He slept 13 hours last night. We suspect an upcoming growth spurt.
Off to do a few things around the house. Then out to my own garden, I think.
Midget, sari gives good advice.
Hugs all.
GT
And DH’s UI claim is now filed.
GT I wish I could give good advice to myself.
I’ve got a couple of decisions I need to make and I know what advice I’d give a friend so why don’t I take it myself.
