First MMP by "Who?"

So far today, I’ve been grocery shopping, burned a pile of brush, pulled weeds in the gahden, cleaned up some crap in the yahd, and changed 3 fenceposts.

I will be mowing, then spraying Roundup in the rockbeds afterwards…

Phoned the parents- apparently her sister has just found a cancerous lump. They found it early, and the prognosis is good, but it’s still worrying :frowning:
Glad I didn’t send my Dad a load of booze for father’s day- he’s apparently got gout at the moment:confused:
That’s a new one.

The weather got juuust nice enough to get away with playing with bees for a bit- they’re grumpy in bad weather, just like me.

Nipped down and picked myself some salad on the way back too- I did manage to procrastinate regarding the tidying up though, so that’s something.

Well I finally have pics of my now six month old nephews, sorry to be so slow Mumpers

Peyton is in green and Sebastian is in red

Jim

This, I like.

Stolen.

Afternoon, all.

Recovering from a somewhat hellish irk wee. One more early day, then a few days off. Hope all is well in Mumpertown, and as always, Rosie’s extraordinarily useful sig to all…
On a positive note, we’re just starting to get fresh greens from the garden for salads, so yay for that (said the green grocer…)

And don’t you dare mess with my apostrophe’s, y’hear?

aawww!

I too am recovering from a hellish workweek. I’ve made the executive decision to put off laundry until Monday because I need to run by the bank. Not to go in it, I just need to run by it a few times. I just need to admit to myself that Monday is the new laundry day. It works better because that way I can wash the cleaning rags I use scrubbing this place on Sunday.

But yes. Am very tired and my feet hurt. I’m gonna go cut up plastic bags for a while.

Back from the Harley social. I still don’t like riding on a bike. The seat is uncomfortable, and for some reason, the muscles behind my right knee kept cramping. But the pizza was good.

Now home to chill, with a lot of knitting ahead for the evening.

Howdy Y’all! We had a lovely day of hangin’ at the pool followed by hotdawgs and fries (we like to eat healthy) for dindin. Everyone has departed for their own abodes or wherever else they might have wandered off to and OYKW and I are all cleanded up. He’s stretched out upon the bed watchin’ teevee. I may go join him shortly.

MOOOOOOM just to find out exactly what that thing you linked to is, I followed a link. I may just have to make this just because it both horrifies and fascinates me.

Home from irk. I don’t need to caffeinate, I can quit any time I want.* Making Orange Ancho marinated poke chops for dinner. Then watching the Hawks game.

{{{{Midget}}}}

{{{{sari}}}} And I vote “windows”, too.

{{{{Nut}}}}

swampy, I’d eat a hunk of it.

*basically when you pry the coffee beans from my cold, dead, trembling hands. Then my zombie will just feast on Starbucks baristas.

SQUEE!!!

Twins or cousins?

In other news, the potluck wasn’t that entertaining (DH’s now former co-workers, I really didn’t know anyone there), and the veggie trays were a total bust. No one interested at all. Veggies are now in my fridge (I may foist off the cherry tomatoes on a neighbor, since we don’t care for them), dressing was trashed for food safety reasons. We have more dressing, so NBD.

I forgot to say this earlier, but I know where you’re coming from with the nonacknowledgement thing. Squirrel AGM and I were talking about this today, in fact. He had fixed something for a lady earlier this week and she wrote a comment card…about everyone else in the building but him. Seriously. He was upset about it, I could tell. I told him that I’m the same way: I fix a lot of things that people never notice because I get to it *before *it’s a problem. I never get comment cards because I’m not a people person. I’m a fixit person. So’s Squirrel AGM. Our best work is behind the scenes, but we both know that nothing would get done without us, or at least not near as smoothly as it is getting done. That’s fine by me–behind the throne is where the real power is.

It’s not exactly your situation, but I hope that pointless anecdote helps.

Rough day, what little bit of my own arse I didn’t kick someone else was, ummm, “kind” enough to do for me. Alternating between booze & Gatorade (because I know I need to rehydrate.)
Wish I had a camera with me earlier; I was down by the river, there is one rock above the surface. Yertel is sunning himself on the top of it.
Later was on the bike at a light, with a Harley to my left. Light turns green, he revs the engine, just as the watch on my R wrist vibrates an alert. Took me a minute to realize it was my watch as I thought his bike was vibrating my whole body. :dubious:
Picked up Chinese on the way home; it’s et so now I gotta get in the shower & get lotsa K’s of crud offa me.

Doggio, do you have an in with [del]Boobman[/del] Bettman? We had sometin’ like 8 hours of golf on teevee today , but Cup finals are not on OTA TV. :smack: I like it, but there’s a reason it’s the most minor of the 4 major sports.

Nope. . the only time Buttman hasn’t been booed in Raleigh was when he announced we go the All Star Game

Today was a pretty good day.

Yay!

Fraternal Twins, my eldest sister will love your squees

Jim

Oh and I promised a pic of me, so here

and this one is a few months old

Sorry kids no shirtless yet…

Jim

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. Yes, WHO? caffienatin’. :stuck_out_tongue: 'Tis 71 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of ONLY 91 for the day. Positively frigid!

{{{Midget}}} like Spaz and others have said, we know what you do but unfortunately those around us sometimes don’t see it. I’m a behind the scenes kinda person myself. There’s a lot of stuff I do irkwise, over to the church house and for others that the world does not see but without it bein’ done, there would be problems. Still, it’s nice when you do sump’n nice for somebody to at least be acknowledged.

[/QUOTE]

And just why not? :dubious: Jim I have been viewin’ ejookayshunul films again and I ran across one that made me think of you bein’ as you’re startin’ up on a datin’ thing. It is a timeless classic on Beginning To Date which I’m sure you’ll find helpful as a refresher. Those ejookashunul films always have the answer. I have learnt so much!

Now I need more caffiene and should consider brekkie even though I am the only one up and about. I’m kinda thinkin’ it’s a cereal and milk kinda mornin’. I should also read over the lesson I shall read at deheathenization this mornin’ I suppose. At some point purtification for deheathenization must also commence.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

**swampy **- just reading that recipe caused my blood sugar to spike - YOIKS!!

Sorry, Jim, that can’t possibly be a pic of you. It’s not at all how you look in my mind, so quit screwing around and post your real photo… :stuck_out_tongue: PS - the kids are adorable, and they make me happy knowing I’m *waaaaaaay *past child-bearing years. Babies is hard work!

Another early morning after a pretty bad night. I kept waking up for various reasons, including because my pillow smelled like skunk. Then I turned over, and everything smelled like skunk, and I was lying there wondering if the neighbor’s dog got one. But when I woke up, there was no skunk smell at all, so it must have been a dream. I know full well skunk stink doesn’t fade in a few mere hours.

Oh, one cool thing that came out of the HOG meeting yesterday - they’re having a baseball night at the Blue Crabs stadium in August. For $27 each, we get tickets to the game, a 2-hour buffet with BBQ, chicken, sides, and ICE CREAM, and it’s all in a private area of the stadium so we don’t have to have riff-raff bothering us. (As if this club is anything *but *riff-raff! ) Plus after the game, there are fireworks! So it should be a fun night.

But I’m not going there on the bike - it’s literally too painful. Not only is the seat uncomfortable, but the footrests are in a bad location and the heat off the exhaust bakes my right ankle. I just don’t get the appeal of motorcycles. Each to his own. I guess.

Speaking of bikes, one of the women in the club got a shiny new trike and proceeded to customize the crap out of it. When it was done, her trike cost more than our car, our truck, and FCD’s Harley - COMBINED!! It cost as much as my very first house (granted, it was 1983 $ but still…) I just don’t get it.

Daughter will be here around 10, and the pre-ride meeting is at 11. I’ll be in the Sonata with A/C and satellite radio. I’ve already looked up directions, so I know where we’re going. I don’t need to follow the bikers, and I may go ahead of the group, just because. After all, it’s BBQ!!!

Happy Father’s Day to all the daddies out there. Happy Sunday to everyone else!

Which takes longer as I have a feeling you need to do a lot of both!
