DP
Briefly.
Oh heck yeah, saw it at the drive-in when it first came out. The credits talked about the Chevy Chase scene and I remember thinking huh, what car scene? He wasn’t even on SNL yet.
It’s a Note II so no way to get to the battery.
However I always get my new phones at Best Buy instead of from AT&T. I pay 9.99 a month for insurance, which is cheaper and better than the plan offered by AT&T. * Best Buy* has always replaced my problem phone with a new one, once I even got an upgrade because they didn’t have my phone available. The part I hate is while they do transfer the data I always lose something and I have to go back in and reset everything to the way I like it.
I had been thinking about dropping the insurance, for $120/year I could buy a phone, although not another Note II. I’m glad I didn’t cancel now.
Blurf.
I am now officially at war with the magpies at my allotment site. For ages, they’ve had an enfuriating habit of uprooting new plants- not for food, just for kicks- as well as picking berries off bushes and merrily throwing them everywhere. Lately though, I’ve been spoiling their fun by netting over all their favourite toys.
Today, they apparently decided to retaliate by leaving half a dead rat on the roof of my car.
I love wildlife, but I’m starting to really, really hate those little feathery gits
I wasn’t in a good mood anyway; I was supposed to be meeting a friend yesterday- it was his idea to meet up, but, after repeatedly changing the time on me, at nearly 7pm, when we were originally meeting at 3, he finally decided that he was too busy. ‘Tidying up’.
Thats pretty much equivalent to “I’m washing my hair” as far as lame excuses go.
I would up spending most of the day doing nothing much, and turned down helping out at the allotment open day, because ‘I had plans’.
Maybe I should send some of the spider army round.
still blurf, and now very cranky
Want to borrow some spiders? Rose?
Setting spiders on annoying people always cheers me up when I’m cranky.
I finally remembered my old phone number which is my library password. It only took me** all weekend long**. Now I can put books on hold again once I finish the ones I have out now.
And yes, this time I wrote it down.
Thanks but spiders wouldn’t help. They’d be amusing but they wouldn’t solve the source of my crankiness
We have severe thunderstorms going on outside. We have lost power twice. The next time it goes dark I am pulling a Scooby Doo moment and be gone when the lights come back on. Dun-dun-dah!
Totally doing that the next time our power goes out. Love this idea.
lieu that is one unhappy lookin’ cat. By unhappy I don’t mean like depressed or suicidal but unhappy with his present situation which is not his present situation right now. However it it is still his present situation, then how long does your daughter intend to hold him. Well, to be concise (not the Eyetalian Concise but the one that means to be brief) the cat is not happy.
Also, I hear ya about bein’ hooked on <snerk> smokin’ meat. <snerk>
So, I’m back from my tour of the east forty without major catastrophic consequences. It just keeps bein’ all gloomy, dreary and hyooooooomid out but hardly any rain has fallen.
Nuts those magpies are just askin’ for spiders.
ETA: First on Two!
The dumbed-down results of the sleep study I had a while back are in - “severe” apnea, which is an AHI of 30 or more. Didn’t I predict that? The big snag now is that I probably won’t be able to get the “titration” done until well after surgery.
blurfy, cranky, tired, home = comfort food.
How do all?
Happy Moanday, I hope all is well and for those that aren’t {{{{{BMH(big mumper hugs)}}}}}
Two good things happened to me today
-
I have new apt keys in hand and am starting to move, the big stuff goes tomorrow
-
Cute redhead who I thought was brave but had turned chicken texted me out of the blue. We have a date tomorrow night. We shall see if she shows, I have a good feeling about it though.
The new place is small but I think it will be ok
Need to pack stuff and do stuff so I will
Cheers
Jim
Howdy Y’all! Home, fed, dishes done and all is well.
Jim yay for keys to the new place and for a date with the cute redhead. Just don’t go all Charlie Brown on her.
gotti one thing at a time. The back surgery sounds more important than the sleep apnea right now. Maybe you could try a wedge pillow in the interim?
Rosie yay for comfort food! Tonight’s dindin of beastloaf, steamed cabbage, mac & cheese and cornbread was a southern style comfort meal. One of those favorite kinds of meals when growin’ up for OYKW and me.
Ok, now I shall surf around to see what else is afoot on da Dope.
Home at last!! Without my little car … But my sis is all excited about it, so there’s that.
Mom took us out to a really good Chinese/Japanese/sushi restaurant for lunch - I’m still stuffded!! It was amazing and yummerrific. Poured like crazy while we were up there - in fact, there was a tornado warning a bit north of her place. We drove thru some rain coming home, but once we got south of Annapolis, it got sunny.
And we decided on our cruise for next year. Mom called her travel agent and she’s pretty sure she can get us a better deal than what’s shown, plus some other bennies. Yay! She’ll also book our air reservations, and we figure we’ll take the train from NYC to home.
Is it too early to get excited about it? I’m practically bouncing in my chair!
Bennies like the Triumph?
No. Bennies like maybe an upgrade or a cabin credit or in-cabin foot massage?
That’s a lotta days on a boat. Ifn you pick up a ‘domestic’ bottle of Scotch, I’ll meet you at 30th St Station on your way home!
Otherthanthat, I got nuffin’
Reincarnation -**swampy **comes back…
**Spidey **- we’re retired - what else are we going to do?? I suppose my mom can find me a new daddy…
