When my boyfriend and I were talking a few weeks ago, he found out that I’ve been having orgasms ever since I can remember. I’ve managed to verify that other girls have been known to orgasm very young…what perplexes us is the guys side of the equation. It never happened for my boyfriend until puberty. What I want to know is, can guys come before puberty? If any of you, guys or gals, know anything related to this, please share. Thanks!
Cumming and orgasm is not necessarily related. Young boys can have an orgasm but not necessarily ‘cum’ until puberty or shortly before.
Well, the ‘shortly before’ isn’t correct. A definition of puberty in males would be the ability to produce semen.
All I can tell you is that I have been doing it a lot longer than I have known what it was. I actually used to wonder, whatever it was, if it felt good or hurt. It finally occurred to me it must feel pretty good, since I kept doing it. Can’t say for the guys, though.
Hmmm…I always thought I was strange. I can remember having orgasms since age four or five. Also, around the time puberty began I started having orgasms in dreams (the female equivalent of a wet dream, I imagine).
Have you every seen boys about 7 to 10 years old climbing poles (e.g. volleyball net supports or basketball goal supports) only to stop halfway up with a silly grin on their faces?
Huh. I remember stimulating myself when younger, having erections much of the time, but I didn’t really start masturbating to orgasm 'til I was 14. I don’t remember much about pre-pubescent orgasms. And if I have wet dreams, I don’t know it. Of course, when I was a teenager, while I did ejaculate, it didn’t really feel so good. It was just a cessation of the desire for physical stimulation–seemingly an end I instinctively moved toward, but not a pleasure in itself. So I may not have been having orgasms in a full neurological sense even then.
I can’t remember a time when I havn’t had orgasm. I even had (obviously non-sexual) orgasmic dreams when I was very very young. Seems to me we have come to some sort of conclusion that girls can and do reach orgasm at very young ages.
I, too, thought it was wierd the first time that I learned that boys often did not have orgasms until puberty. Just one more reason to be glad to be a girl, I guess.
Well, I’m a male and I can honestly say I had orgasms long before puberty. I can’t positively say I remember the first time, but the first time I do remember masturbating was about the age of five, and I haven’t stopped since.

Not long before, but probably a year or so before. Dry orgasms were pretty, um, convenient.
Same here. I was about 11 when I started. I went about a year before semen started coming out… and my first one was awesome… I’ll never forget it.
I first came at about 10 or 11, when I had definitely reached puberty. In fact it was also the first time that I ejaculated. (Though I had masturbated before then)

Lump me in with those who had orgasms before puberty. However, I remember my first “wet” one; that’s when I realized it wasn’t just something that felt good. Oddly, in my young mind, I had decided the sensation was connected to a particular state of erection and nothing more.

Wow! Girls having orgasms at age 4? I had no idea. Come on guys… orgasms before puberty has got to be pretty rare… it may feel good to touch yourself there but that’s very different than reaching an orgasm… wet, dry or otherwise.
I think it’s safe to say that for MOST guys orgasms don’t start to happen until sometime during the onset of puberty which can happen to some boys earlier than others… maybe even age 9 or 10.
For many if not most young men it usually happens first during a wet dream… then you start to experiment in the shower and low and behold you realize you can make it happen pretty much at will.
I’ll say. Too bad I don’t have 'em all that often.

For me (a male) the first big O was in the sandbox as a four year old. A friend (female) and I were sitting side by side burying each other’s feet.
When IT happened, I had no idea what IT was, but IT felt great. I proposed marriage, she accepted, and for the next few days when playing in the sandbox, my playmate buried and re-buried my feet. Maybe this is a topic for another thread… but I remember my first orgasm. I was “reading the articles” in a Playboy magazine, and uh… touching myself. Suddenly this electric feeling came about, and my penis was hypersensative. OH MY GOD, I BROKE SOMETHING IN MY BODY! I thought that God himself was firing down a lifetime of punishment for my horrible act. I was scared to death… I waited at least a whole day before I went and did the same thing again.
