Go ahead and criticise all you like. Call other people poopy-heads if you so desire. But DON’T tell them not to post whatever they like.

I have NOT told you to stop posting such stupid threads. All I have asked is for you to leave the decision about the threads to the admins and mods. That is all.

This is a particularly good point, actually, that should be more widely understood.

The pit is simply a microcosm of real life. You can indeed say pretty much whatever you want, pretty much whenever you want. And then people will judge you on the basis of it. We would do well to remember this next time we let our standards slip because “this is the pit”.

I do apologize for my insinuations that anyone who has been here once or twice 3 years ago and has not returned must be incarcerated. I was merely thinking what would be the most likely thing that was would be able to make me stay away for that period of time and prison was the first thing that came to mind.

My intent was not to cast aspersions on your good name or malign your character–you are doing a good enough job of that without my help.

It seems I fell for the oldest of follies, that is applying one’s own belief system to try to explain the actions of another. That way only leads to ruin.
