As far as her responding, I’d give her just a bit of time to respond…I guess people sleep and go home from work or whereever they might post 
and stuff. It’s possible she hasn’t seen this yet.
I don’t want to speculate as to what she might do…it’s possible she may truly apologize from her heart…people do screw up and sometimes there are things going on behind this flat surface we call the sdmb…I guess I’d say let’s give her a bit more time to respond and reconsider…
I don’t know… it would take clear evidence and proof that her computer and/or account had been hacked or she had a gun to her head or something to allow me to forget what she said.

Re the “she hasn’t come in here to explain herself yet, it’s all over the boards and LJ, so she knows about it” stuff. While I’m not a flamsterette and neither do I play one on TV, but it’s possible she hasn’t seen this yet.
The OP of the card thread was 1:15pm (all times given are Chicago, the board’s default). Her last post there was 4:44pm. This one was started at 5:42pm, and it’s now around 9.30pm. She might well have turned off her computer after her last post and gone out to dinner or something, and just hasn’t seen this yet.
I’m not saying she didn’t fuck up - she did, and from the defense-by-agression tone of her posts in the card thread, I think she knew it then and knows it now.
All I’m saying is, maybe she’s got away from the computer to cool down a bit, or friends came over and interrupted or something. Maybe another few hours before the predictions of “she doesn’t dare show her face” and “farewell threads then returning in a week” perhaps?

My heart sank when I read the IMHO thread. I don’t know John, but if your out there reading this you rock! You know what? I have all my health. Two functioning legs, arms, the whole works. My friends are lucky if I even get them a card. Does it mean I love them any less? No. My thoughts are with them on that day. I’m usually thinking “Shit, I forgot to get so and so a card it’s their b-day today, dammit, dammit, dammit”. 
I’ve got one friend I’ve had for 16 yrs. I’d say her card has arrived late at least 10 times and the other 6 she probably didn’t get one. You know what she over looks my faults and accepts me for who I am as I do her. We all got them.
One other thing that I found ironic is Flamsterette’s sig in the IMHO thread which goes…It’s funny when you discover that all problems eventually just loop back on themselves… and disappear into their own paradox.
Somehow I just don’t think this problem is going to disappear!
Actually, she’s active on AIM right now. 
So she isn’t away from the computer. And I dare say she is very very aware of this thread.
