I like her and/or her character, but the TV commercials are getting tedious. And the radio commercials are all kinds of horrible. Her singing badly, doing bad gangster impressions, etc. Can’t stand them.
I am unfamiliar with the actress in anything but the commercials… and I already have insurance, so I don’t pay a whole lot of attention. She doesn’t make me want to flee the room screaming or shoot the TV or anything.
Generally, I like her, but the ones where she plays all her various family members are too disturbing to give her an unconditional green light. So “Depends” (though usually).
Voted “indifferent” but really it’s time for Progressive to come up with new ideas and a new spokesperson.
And that stupid box. I hope the TSA keeps him.
She (they) try so hard to mimic the clever, funny, sophisticated, successful Geico marketing campaign, and fail embarassingly, though a few ads are mildly amusing. Her radio commercials mimicking professions, such as drill instructor or football coach, using insurance dialogue is intolerable. I turn the station every time. I bet they’re turning away more customers than they’re attracting.
In this thread, we were discussing the hotness of various corporate spokesmodels, including Flo, Jan, Lily, and Red (Progressive, Toyota, AT&T, and Wendy’s, respectively). Here’s how I put it:
[QUOTE=BrotherCadfael]
Lily, Wendy (real name Morgan Smith Goodwin), Jan. Then a loong, loooong, gap. Then Clara Peller. Then Flo.
